(NaturalNews) Filled with endless knowledge, the internet can be an amazing tool for information seekers, but it also can be incredibly dangerous, as it's laden with disinfo, propaganda and corporate agendas that do not have the public's best interests at heart.

Desperate to stay afloat, the mainstream media is forced to accept funding from the world's largest industries, including Big Agriculture, Big Pharma, Big Banks, Big Food and the chemical industry, as well as oil and gas enterprises.

While this money allows newsrooms to appear financially secure, many of them are still failing due to a declining readership base as viewers shift towards authentic, alternative journalism that isn't afraid to ruffle feathers, instead practicing genuine reporting that's embraced by its followers.

Some mainstream media sources (the majority of which are heavily liberal), are more evil than others, and their corruption reaches unprecedented heights, which can muddy the waters in terms of identifying which publications are the most untrustworthy.

Luckily, an informative and very well sourced article published at EVIL.news exposes the top 12 most EVIL news publications in America – and the reasons you should avoid them.

Coming in at number two on the list is Slate, an online leftist magazine that routinely touts the agendas of large, powerful corporations, including the biotech industry.

Slate magazine uses corporate-bought pseudo-journalists to push GMOs

Very recently, the biotech industry was exposed by The New York Times for bribing university scientists to travel the globe promoting GMOs and their associated pesticides. The collusion between major biotech giants, namely Monsanto, and university scientists was exposed after the nonprofit US Right to Know requested the emails of academics they suspected of colluding with Big Agra under the Freedom of Information Request Act.

Implicated in the emails were several journalists with very close ties to the biotech industry, one of whom happens to write for Slate magazine.

Freelance "journalist" Keith Kloor has written many pro-GMO articles, including for Slate, and is very good friends with the Genetic Literacy Project's Jon Entine, a violent industry shill who physically abused his wife and terrorized his young daughter during a messy divorce in 2008. He's also verbally abused clean food advocates repeatedly over the years.

Slate's Kloor is a "very good friend of Entine," according to the emails.

Slate calls Planned Parenthood's trafficking of aborted babies "deeply commendable"

Not only is Slate in bed with the most evil corporation on the planet (Monsanto), but they're staunch supporters of Planned Parenthood's trafficking of aborted baby parts.

As reported by EVIL.news, Slate's Mark Joseph Stern sees Planned Parenthood's trafficking of aborted fetal "tissue" as being "deeply commendable."

Stern's article, "Fetal Tissue Gives Hope for One of the Worst Diseases," is poorly cited, referring to another piece on FactCheck.org that unfairly addresses only one of the nine PP sting videos, while ignoring other revelations that don't fit Slate's pro-PP narrative.

Referencing just one sting video, Stern argues that PP wasn't really selling aborted baby parts based on the following quote by the non-profit's Senior Director of Medical Research Dr. Nucatola:

Affiliates are not looking to make money by doing this. They're looking to serve their patients and just make it not impact their bottom line.

No one's going to see this as a money making thing.

While Nucatola did make those statements, she also admitted that their goal is to make it look good. Additionally, the rest of the PP sting videos make it very clear that the organization is in fact making a profit on the sale of dead baby parts.

PP isn't just turning a profit on aborted babies, but they've been doing so for 15 years, sometimes earning $2,500 for an intact fetus. About 3,500 abortions take place in the U.S. every day – you do the math.

A 20/20 investigation in 2000 revealed PP's trafficking of aborted baby parts to be a "thriving industry" in which a spinal cord could be sold for $325, a reproductive organ for $550 and a brain for $999, reports LifeNews.com.

Slate's denial of Planned Parenthood's trafficking of aborted baby parts obliterates their journalistic integrity, proving they are far from being a respected news source; in fact, if you accidentally stumble across Slate – abort! That's what they'd want you to do any way.
