NaturalNews Honors Martin Luther King as Defender of Justice for All PeopleBy Mike Adams, January 19, 2009 | Key concepts: Martin Luther King, Justice and Free speech I wanted to put a note out today to honor Martin Luther King and his commitment to Free Speech, free thinking and freedom for the People.King's deep dedication to optimism and truth serve as inspiring examples for us all. And contrary to some distorted historical accounts, King's leadership wasn't focused on blacks vs. whites, it was actually centered on empowering the People and teaching them how to stand up against injustice, tyranny and oppression, regardless of the color of their skin. and here: http://www.naturalnews.com/025303.html Today, King's words are as relevant as ever when he says, "He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it." And his words about law and justice reveal truths that the lawless FDA and FTC agents would do well to remember today: "Law and order exist for the purpose of establishing justice and when they fail in this purpose they become the dangerously structured dams that block the flow of social progress." King was so successful at communicating the truth to the masses that he was ultimately assassinated, almost certainly by men involved in the upper echelon of financial power in the United States government at the time. A new book on the subject, Legacy of Secrecy offers compelling evidence that the assassinations of JFK, RFK and MLK were all masterminded by mafia boss Carlos Marcello. You can read an MSNBC review of the book here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28556881/ While it may be difficult to prove exactly who engineered King's assassination, there's no question that his commitment to truth and justice, combined with his remarkable ability to inspire and teach people through the power of words, made Martin Luther King a magnificent contributor to human civilization, even if his life was cut short. He wasn't without his own mistakes (as are none of us), but his dedication to justice for all people (and his insistence that morality must serve as the foundation for a sustainable society) continues to serve as a model our nation would do well to follow today.
