Google Security Glitch Exposes Adsense Payment Details

NaturalNews has uncovered a potentially serious security glitch in Google that inadvertently allows some people to view and modify Adsense earnings and payment details for accounts they do not own. We are publishing this as a safety warning to all the NaturalNews authors and readers who currently have Adsense accounts.
The glitch works as follows: Google Adwords allows account owners to invite other individuals to have administrative access to Adwords. Google support personnel are currently informing users that such administrative access will be limited solely to Adwords. However, once this access is granted to an invited user, that same user is immediately granted administrative access to Adsense as well, where they can view Adsense earnings and make changes to Adsense payment details (for example, changing the mailing address of the checks).
What this means is that a company that meant to grant an employee access to Adwords only could inadvertently be granting that same employee full access to Adsense.
The Google support personnel we talked to were unaware of this security glitch and assured NaturalNews it did not operate in this way, but when we sent them a screen shot proving the existence of the security hole, they stated they were submitting the issue to their Specialist Team which would investigate. "We take security issues very seriously," a support person told NaturalNews.
Knowing Google's commitment to security, they will likely have this problem fixed very quickly, but if you are an Adsense account owner, it would be in your interests to double check your account payment details just to make sure no unauthorized changes to your payment settings have been made.
