Junk Food Television Commercials Proven to Cause Obesity in Children

Fast food advertisements aimed at children directly cause obesity, say researchers. They add that childhood obesity would be reduced by 18 percent if such ads were banned during the hours that children are most likely to watch television.
So what's Washington waiting for? Is it more important to protect the health of a generation of American children, or the profits of powerful corporations?
You already know the answer to that: Corporate profits trump public health every time, and Washington lawmakers have already sold out to Big Business, betraying the public and compromising the very future of America.
I guess making a few extra bucks off the children's obesity is far more important to short-term-thinking America than raising a generation of healthy children that might be tomorrow's thoughtful leaders. That junk food advertising continues to be allowed at all is one sign of the American empire's impending collapse. No nation has a future if its children are diseased.
