Exposure to BPA May Cause Changes in Brain, Behavior

There is mounting evidence that prenatal exposure to Bisphenol-A may cause permanent changes in the brains of infants, leading to behavioral changes later in life. Despite this evidence, the FDA has declared BPA to be perfectly safe for consumption by expectant mothers, infants and children. The chemical industry, of course, completely agrees with the FDA. But scientific experts are now harshly criticizing the FDA for its betrayal of the American public on the BPA issue.
From Foodconsumer.org: A new study released in October suggests that maternal exposure to bisphenol A (BPA) could eliminate or decrease the sex difference in certain behavioral responses. The study adds to a growing evidence to suggest that exposure to BPA affects behaviors or the brain among others.... more
