Why did the FBI allow Jared Fogle to keep molesting little boys and girls for YEARS after they knew he was committing sex crimes?

(NaturalNews) Did the FBI serve as a de facto accomplice to Jared Fogle, the confessed pedophile and disgraced former spokesman for the Subway sandwich chain? In a manner of speaking, the answer has to be yes.

As reported by The Daily Sheeple and other media, here's what we now know about Fogle and the sad, sordid details of his sick, criminal exploitation of children as well as the FBI's complicit involvement.

In August, we learned that Fogle would use his status and wealth – his privileged position, if you will – to hide his crimes.

"This is about using wealth, status and secrecy to illegally exploit children," U.S. Attorney Josh Minkler said during a press conference, alluding to the millions Fogle amassed as the face of the chain.

Recent reports noted that the investigation into Fogle took a decade. During this time, he repeatedly abused and exploited children, and the FBI knew it.

Just days ago, the New York Post reported that Fogle was secretly recorded making sick, disturbing statements about having sex with minors and the lengths he would go to in order to fulfill his dark fantasies.

"I would fly us clear across the world if we need to. To Thailand or wherever we want to go. If we're gonna try to get some young kids with us it would be a lot easier," Fogle, a married father of two, told Rochelle Herman-Walrond, a one-time Florida journalist who had befriended Fogle so she could expose his sexual abuse of children.

As noted by Gawker and ABC News, Herman-Walrond had contacted the FBI, which then authorized her to begin taping Fogle's disgusting admissions. Although she only wore a wire for about four-and-a-half years, the entire process took ten years. At one point, she said she began to wonder why the FBI was not acting sooner.

"That was my biggest question, 'Why was it taking so long?'" she told ABC affiliate WWSB. "A case of this size just happens to take that long, and that's what I was told."

The Daily Sheeple noted:

The casual excuse is the bureaucracy itself, but we know that when the government wants to act quickly, it does. It does not hesitate in killing, disappearing, or jailing those it deems are a threat to government, and it sets aside constitutional protections to do so.

However, when the threat is in the form of sexual predation on children, government takes its time because "it just happens to take that long."

As time went on, she eventually asked him about being with children after he made a number of strange comments that made it seem like he was attracted to pre-pubescent children.

FBI has some questions to answer as well

Then Fogle really opened up.

"I had a little boy. It was amazing," the 38-year-old Fogle said. "It just felt so good. I mean, it felt – it felt so good."

Herman-Walrond also asked him whether he preferred young girls or young boys.

"Both of them," he answered, according to audio.

Finally, feeling even more brazen, he asked her about her own children.

"Are there any of your kids' friends that you think are pretty hot? What if we put a camera in your kids' room, would they be OK with that?" he said.

In all, Herman-Walrond believes that the number of children exploited by Fogle is far greater than the 14 he acknowledged, each of whom will be paid $100,000.

When asked what he is to her, she responded, "He's a monster."

As for the Feds, the public ought to be demanding to know why it took so long for the agency to act when there was sufficient evidence years before Fogle was arrested that he was doing awful things to kids.
