In an industry where most of the so-called "fruit" bars are loaded with junk, it's tricky to find an honest, simple and delicious fruit bar that you can really enjoy. There are two that I've found, however, that are worth recommending. They're both reviewed here.
The first is called the Bear Fruit Bar, made by MorFoods (www.MorFoods.com). It's a USDA organic dried fruit bar available in a variety of recipes, including Organic Apple Cherry, Organic Apple and Apple Blueberry. They're so incredibly honest and simple that you can count their ingredients on one hand (even if you're missing a finger or two). For example, their cherry bar is made with: Organic Apples, Organic Apple Concentrate, Organic Cherry Concentrate.
That's it! Nothing else. Note that there are no additives, preservatives, sweeteners, fillers or other junk contains in these bars. They aren't protein bars or meal replacement bars, but they're not trying to be. They're simply organic fruit bars, and they're incredibly delicious.
Given all the positive research coming out about the health benefits of cherries and blueberries, these bars also serve as a great source of the miraculous phytonutrients provided by these healing fruits. Blueberries, for example, have been shown to protect and enhance brain function. Cherries are well known to help reverse gout and ease inflammation. The FDA would argue with these claims, of course, but the FDA believes there is no such thing as any fruit that has any biological effect on the human body whatsoever. They won't even admit that limes reverse scurvy. Hilarious, isn't it?
I gave the Bear Fruit Bar company my Editor's Choice Award earlier this year, and I encourage you to try this product line for yourself and your family. You'll love these bars!
You can order some for yourself at www.MorFoods.com
What's the other fruit bar I support? It's made by FruitFast (Brownwood Acres), a company that was assaulted by the FDA for daring to tell the truth about its cherry products. It was threatened with having its business shut down if it didn't sign a "Consent Decree" document that required its owners to admit to crimes they never committed (such as "selling an adulterated drug" where were really just cherries). Read the details on that fiasco here: http://www.naturalnews.com/024567.html
The FruitFast company has a line of cherry, pomegranate and blueberry fruit bars that are simply outstanding! I recommend them all, and you can view them here: http://www.brownwoodacres.com/fruit...
They're not organic like the Bear Fruit Bars mentioned above, but they're still packed with phytonutrients that help protect the body from all sorts of devastating health conditions. Pomegranate, for example, helps prevent prostate cancer. (Not just the FruitFast pomegranate, but any pomegranate...)
The FruitFast company also offers outstanding fruit concentrates in liquid and softgel forms. The liquids are perfect for using in smoothies, and the softgels are so delicious, you can eat them like candy.
The FruitFast company also earns my Editor's Choice recommendation as a valuable supplier of super-concentrated fruit products that can protect your health in many ways. If you're not getting enough fruit into your diet, both of the companies mentioned here can help you get more.
And unlike fresh fruit, the fruit bars mentioned here are portable and have an astonishing shelf life (about one year). That makes them an excellent way to store some fruit. They're even being purchased by many people interested in emergency preparedness who want to make sure they have some fruit available in case there are temporary shortages in the national food supply.
Put them in the freezer if you want to store them for many years. Otherwise, just keep them in a dry, cool place like a wine cellar.
Here are the two companies again:

Enjoy!
