Here's how to bring these fruits and vegetables together for great nutrition and delicious taste. Drink to your health! Use organic ingredients. Makes 2 large drinks. Time Saving Tips: Freshly squeeze lemon juice ahead. The Ingredients... Parsley (Italian flat-leaf) = 2 ounces (for each sprig, trim away only the stem from where the last leaf ends on downward) Bell pepper (red) = 4 ounces (minus its seeds and ribs and outer stem) Celery = 4-1/2 ounces (no leaves unless a strong celery taste is desired) Strawberries (red) = 5-1/2 ounces (weigh with their hulls/leafy green tops & stems - then after weighed, remove hull/leafy green top & stem from each strawberry) Apple cider vinegar = 2 tablespoons Lemon juice (freshly squeezed) = 1-1/2 tablespoons Unrefined (unheated) highest-quality salt = 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper powder (dried) = a dash Optional: Honey = 1 double teaspoon (2 teaspoons) Tomatoes (red) = 19 ounces (core and keep the seeds) Optional: Water (cool-temperature filtered or cool-temperature mineral-rich fresh spring water = dry measure 1/4-cup - only if thinning out the drink is desired) The Instructions... In succession, put all of the ingredients into a heavy-duty high-powered blender. Puree on whole juice setting 2 times. This recipe is meant to be enjoyed immediately after preparation. Notes: *Best flavor and best nutrition will come from produce that is in-season, locally-grown, freshly picked, ripe, heirloom and organically-grown or sustainably-grown or biodynamically-grown. Always keep in mind this high standard and, do the best you can. *The weight given represents the flesh of the fruit/vegetable. In other words... After trimmed up, the amount given is the amount that is actually used in the recipe. *The cayenne pepper powder means cayenne that has been dried and ground. *Suggested is to use apple cider vinegar (preferably in glass) that is organic, unfiltered, unheated and has the `mother`. *Parsley goes on the bottom of the carafe (as it blends the best this way). *This drink will taste best with organic heirloom vine-ripened tomatoes of your choice. Cherry or grape tomatoes are terrific as well. If using Roma/plum tomatoes, add 1/4-cup of water (in addition to the optional 1/4-cup amount) because these particular tomatoes are on the meaty side (and they make for a thick Libation without the additional 1/4-cup water to thin). *Celery hearts (innermost ribs of the stalk) will make the drink sweeter juxtaposed to the outer ribs of the celery stalk. *In lieu of highest-quality Himalayan pink crystal salt (unrefined and unheated) used in this recipe, feel free to use any highest-quality unrefined and unheated salt of your choice. The Hawaiian red clay salt is fabulous. *Variation (Tomato Parsley Cherry Libation): Replace strawberries with same amount of cherries (weighing cherries to 5-1/2 ounces yet making sure each cherry is without its stem and making sure each cherry is with its stone). After the cherries have been weighed, remove - from each cherry - its stone (before adding cherries to the Libation). In addition, do add the optional 1/4-cup water and also do add the optional honey. To remove the stone from the cherry fruit, cut each cherry in half. Using your fingers, pull out the stone. If the goal is to make an attractive drink, use the dark purplish-black sweet cherries. Lovely appearance is what you will get along with fantastic taste. *To measure the water use a dry measure = those graduated measuring cups that come in 1/8-cup, 1/4-cup, 1/3-cup, 1/2-cup and 1-cup etc. These type measuring cups stack into one another and, they come with handles. *Bottled spring water from the marketplace is not recommended. Fresh water from one of earth's natural springs is highly recommended. *Because chewing food is essential for many reasons, this blended recipe is meant to be a small part of the eating regime. *For health, it is important to use a honey that is pure, unprocessed, unfiltered and unheated. In addition, you can obtain honey that is certified organic. *Suggested is to use a heavy-duty high-powered blender whereby, you will not find a parsley leaf - nor a tomato seed - that has not been masticated. *Please, will you comment on how you like the recipe?
