W.H.O. Warns Countries of the World: Coronavirus Pandemic Set to GO GLOBAL
02/01/2020 // Mike Adams // Views

With an 8th coronavirus infection patient now confirmed in the United States, the coronavirus pandemic looks on track to break containment in multiple countries and become a global pandemic.

That's probably why today, the World Health Organization issued an urgent warning to the countries of the world, urging nations "to be ready for a domestic outbreak" of the coronavirus. This statement was issued by WHO official Geuden Galea, speaking to the Associated Press.

The statement follows the publication of an alarming new study in The Lancet which warned that, "Independent self-sustaining outbreaks in major cities globally could become inevitable because of substantial exportation of presymptomatic cases and in the absence of large-scale public health interventions."

That scientific study, published at TheLancet.com, also warned, "Preparedness plans and mitigation interventions should be readied for quick deployment globally."

To fully grasp the severity of the problem, try to imagine Mexico responding to its own domestic outbreak with anything resembling "rapid deployment." The very concept is absurd. Even worse, imagine this outbreak spreading to India, and the government there attempting to enforce a quarantine. (India is a nation where the government can't even run a traffic light without causing total chaos.)

Infections skyrocket past 12,000, and they're rapidly rising outside of China

In the last week, confirmed infections of coronavirus have skyrocketed 1000%, with numbers rapidly rising outside mainland China. As of today, there are over 12,000 confirmed cases in China, even with widespread reports that the supply of diagnostic kits to collect saliva samples is extremely limited in China. Credible scientific analysis puts the actual number of currently infected people in China at around 75,000.

Here's the current outbreak chart, based on official numbers (i.e. official lies). Notice that coronavirus infections are rapidly increasing in Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and even Australia:

Meanwhile, the communist Chinese government has already decided to sacrifice millions of lives in a triage effort to protect 11 of China's most important cities which serve as military and economic production hubs.

Coronavirus has likely broken containment in China, rendering the Wuhan quarantine pointless

As covered in my emergency podcast below, the coronavirus pandemic has almost certainly broken containment in China, and infectious disease experts now expect a second wave of infected patients to appear in a large number of Chinese cities over the next 1-2 weeks. This "lag time" represents the time it takes for infected people to incubate the virus, replicate it in their own bodies, and spread it to others. This often happens without the carrier showing any symptoms at all.

The "Nowcasting" study in The Lancet, linked above, analyzed commercial flight data of of the Wuhan region in China to determine that symptomless carriers have already distributed the coronavirus to hundreds of destinations in China and across Asia:

That study warns, "epidemics are already growing exponentially in multiple major cities of China," and concludes that, "Large cities with close transport links to China could also become outbreak epicenters."

This means, of course, that the coronavirus outbreak has already broken containment inside China, and will likely soon start posting large numbers of infected patients in other Asian nations. If the outbreak is not perfectly contained in every country, it is difficult to see how it remains contained on a global scale, given the frequency of international travel and the reality of symptomless carriers.

Tech giants now censoring all truth about the pandemic, siding with China to downplay the reality and make sure more people get killed

In order to try to downplay this reality, Facebook is now threatening to ban all "rumors" about the coronavirus, and Twitter -- which banned us long ago -- has just slapped down a permanent ban on Zero Hedge for reporting that the coronavirus might be an engineered bioweapon.

The tech giants are siding with China (as usual), making sure that all voices and channels which contradict the official communist narrative that "everything is under control" are silenced or blacklisted. Once again, Big Tech proves it is the enemy of humanity and the destroyer of knowledge. Is anyone really surprised?

It is becoming more clear by the day that the risk of this coronavirus pandemic going global is extremely high. The virus is not contained even in China, where draconian containment measures have been put in place at great cost to civil liberties and human rights. The number of confirmed infections outside of China is increasing daily, and the rate of increase is beyond alarming; it's borderline apocalyptic.

Listen to my podcast to understand why this pandemic now looks very likely to go global, which is why the WHO is warning all the countries of the world to get prepared:
