(NaturalNews) African Americans en masse may not be ready to abandon their political leaders or the Democrat Party anytime soon, but if a new video featuring several disgruntled black men is an indication, the party is certainly in trouble with one of its core constituencies.

The video (click here) features four Chicago activists -- Paul McKinley, Mark Carter, Joseph Watkins and Harold "Noonie" Ward -- who went on the record with a videographer from Rebel Pundit to decry what one of them describes as an "abusive relationship" between blacks, their leaders and the Democrat Party in general, which they say has done nothing for their ethnic group, despite its near-universal support for the party at election time.

"Black folks is in an abusive black leadership relationship," says McKinley, to start off the video. Later, he says:

Look and see in your community. Who are the real oppressors in our community? They always talk about black-on-black crime, and when you hear the words "black-on-black crime," the first thing you think of is a black man robbing you or a black man breaking in your house. And that is a black-on-black crime. But let's take it one step further.

There's a black-on-black crime down in City Hall. There's a black-on-black crime down in all the state capitals in America, where black folks are voting against our interests. ... We're getting poorer and poorer, and other groups are getting richer and richer.

'There are no white folks doing that'

Ward notes that "everywhere you go, there's poverty in black communities." And Watkins says that many of those in his old housing complex are now out in the street, "and it's because of you, Mr. President."

"In Detroit, where is your leaders at?" continues McKinley. "There's no white folks runnin' Detroit, cuttin' water on black folks in Detroit. There are black folks running that city. There are no white folks doing that. Black folks are going along with that."

All of the men blame the Democrat Party, and their Democrat-affiliated leaders, for abandoning African Americans who have been so loyal to them. And they blame that party for African Americans' plight -- endless cycles of poverty, high unemployment, rampant "abortion on demand," chronic welfare and little opportunity.

"We're always talking about what the Republicans ain't done for us, or what they will do to hurt us... my life has been hurt by Democrats," says Watkins.

"And we've got it on our mind that we've always got to keep voting Democrat," adds Ward.

Reflecting on the chronic poverty of many African Americans, Carter notes:

Now he [Obama] wants to have this conversation about [raising] the minimum wage... because he knows that this is the way to get a lot of the poor people's attention. But, the hell with his minimum wage raise. We don't have any jobs. A minimum wage raise... for what?

"They're not pushing a black agenda," says McKinley. "They're not pushing a family agenda. They're pushing a neo-liberal agenda."

'Look around you'

And Carter, in a subsequent scene, while standing in front of what appears to be a run-down, dilapidated building, points and says: "Across these cities, in these major Democratic cities, this is what it looks like."

Ward agreed. He, too, was standing in what appears to be an economically depressed neighborhood, and said, "It's the same way in every black community across the country."

McKinley claims that "black leadership is abusing us, the Democratic Party is abusing us," as Carter declares, "They force us into a life of welfare. We don't want no welfare. We want opportunities to go to work. We want opportunities to own businesses. They bailed out all of the major banks and these big investors, but left the people starving" as he again points to the dilapidated housing behind him.

The point? These men are essentially urging members of their community to vote -- and "vote more wisely," if they want things to change.
