(NaturalNews) You may have already heard that drinking fresh, organic fruit and vegetable juices can be beneficial to your health. But there are some kinds of juices that are particularly powerful.

Here they are!

Beetroot juice

Research has shown that beetroot juice is effective in increasing energy and lowering blood pressure.

Beetroot juice helps lower blood pressure because of its high concentration of nitrates. The body converts nitrates into nitric oxide, which is a compound that works to stimulate blood flow. This can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

The nitrates in beetroot juice can also help improve exercise performance. A 2010 study conducted by the University of Exeter found that men who drank beetroot juice had better endurance during exercise. Similar studies have also been done and shown similar results.

Since cooking or fermenting beetroots reduces some of their nutrients, it is actually better to drink them in juice form rather than cooking and eating them. Drinking just one or two cups of beet juice a day can have a significant positive impact on your health.

Tomato juice

Another particularly beneficial kind of juice is tomato juice. Tomatoes are rich in lycopene, which is a powerful antioxidant that eliminates free radicals.

Research has shown that a diet rich in lycopene helps reduce the risk of cancer and even stroke. Researchers believe that lycopene may boost the immune system, prevent blood clots, and reduce inflammation, thus leading to the reduced risk of a stroke.

Although tomatoes are not the only food containing lycopene, they are the best source of it. It's recommended to consume large amounts of lycopene on a daily basis to reap its benefits, and juicing tomatoes will make it easier to consume a lot of them.

It's a good idea to add some sort of fat, such as olive oil, to your tomato juice. This will help your body absorb the lycopene.

Pomegranate juice

Since many fruit juices are high in sugar, it's best to avoid drinking too much of them and opt for vegetable juices instead. But pomegranate juice is one of the best fruit juices you can choose to drink.

Pomegrate juice is full of antioxidants. It's been shown to reduce blood pressure and improve cardiovascular health, although its effects appear to be short-term. A study by the National Cancer Institute also found that pomegranate juice helps slow the spread of prostate cancer.

Researchers at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh have even discovered that pomegranate juice increases testosterone, a hormone that increases sex drive in both men and women. Testosterone also reduces stress and improves mood in general.

Other great juices

Of course, there are many other kinds of juices that are good for you as well. Carrot juice is full of Vitamin A, which is good for your eyesight. And cucumber juice is good for your skin.

You can purchase such juices ready made if you happen to live near a juice bar, but a better way is to invest in a juicer so you can make your own juices. This is more economical in the long run, and it can be fun to experiment with juicing different fruits and vegetables.

Adding fresh fruit and vegetable juices to your diet is a very good idea, but for the most part they should be additions and not substitutes for solid food. Remember that your body also needs the fiber contained in solid fruits and vegetables.

So, stop ignoring the amazing benefits of judicious juicing!

If you have a hard time sticking with it...

The key to progress with a juicing program (or any natural health initiative) is consistency. To get the real benefits, you have to stick with it over time. We all know this.

If you already know how important raw juices are, but are not being consistent, you may ask yourself why this is the case.

For far too many, self-sabotage is the reason. You know what you should be doing for your health, but remain stuck in old, familiar patterns that do not serve you. Breaking free of these patterns and committing to a healthy lifestyle is the most important thing you can do.

Learn more about how subconscious self-sabotage prevents your progress before you even begin by watching this life-changing free video.
