(NaturalNews) There could not be more than a handful of Americans who were not sickened by the horrible shooting deaths of 20 six-year-old children and six adults in Newtown, Conn., in December by a crazed, drug-taking, mentally disturbed Adam Lanza. We are all humans. Most of us are mothers or fathers, brothers or sisters. We all have someone we love and whom we would be devastated to lose, especially in such a horrific, heinous manner.

But what 26 Connecticut state senators and 105 members of the state House, in conjunction with Gov. Dannel Malloy, did in early April - putting in place strict new and unconstitutional gun control legislation - is not going to save lives in Connecticut, is not going to "curb gun violence" in the state and, more importantly, would not have stopped Lanza from committing his terrible crime.

All they have done by passing SB 1160 and signing into law is punish law-abiding gun owners and, in all honesty, make residents less safe because - for the millionth time - criminals and mental health cases like Lanza don't follow laws written on paper or rules posted on signs. Only law-abiding, civil society-minded people do those things.

But they have also done one other thing: They have violated their oaths of office to uphold and support the Constitution of the United States, as well as their own state Constitution. And for that, they should be punished.

Naming the anti-constitutionalists in the Connecticut Legislature

The following 26 senators and 105 legislators should be arrested immediately and charged with violating their oaths of office and the people's trust, as well as the Second and Fourteenth Amendments to the Constitution, as explained by our editor, Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, in this story: http://www.naturalnews.com

Since the mainstream media won't publicize the names of those who have violated their oaths, we will do so - and do so gladly - because the people of Connecticut have a right to know how his or her lawmaker voted on this scandalous abuse of the Constitution:

If you live in Connecticut and you don't see your state representative or senator on either of these lists, continue to support them because they support your constitutional rights and understand completely that it is not the job of lawmakers to punish those who have done nothing wrong, but who are only guilty of believing in the exercise of a right the progressive Left doesn't think you deserve to exercise.

These are not "reasonable" laws nor are they "reasonable" lawmakers

These listed lawmakers should be made to stand in a court of law and explain to the public they supposedly serve why they chose to sack the Second and Fourteenth Amendments in favor of their ideology. They should be made to answer questions publicly about why they think punishing their law-abiding citizens and making them less safe with unconstitutional anti-gun laws is an appropriate response to the Newtown tragedy. Further, they should be made to explain why, during times of crisis and grieving, they don't believe the Constitution remains the law of the land, and explain which portions of the Constitution state that "when horrific crimes are committed these particular articles and amendments no longer apply." And while they're at it, they can explain how it is that Lanza was able to commit his crime in the first place, given the already restrictive gun laws in Connecticut, and just how, exactly, trashing the Constitution with more gun control will work.

The people of Connecticut - all of them, even those who agree with the actions taken by 105 House members, 26 senators and Gov. Malloy are "reasonable" and "proper" - are now far less safe than they were before the Newtown incident. Nothing in the gun law just passed is going to prevent the next mass murder there, just like similar restrictive laws on the national level won't either.

That's because as long as there exists a criminal element and as long as mentally ill people have access to mild-altering drugs, they will find a way to acquire the weapons they need to kill.

Furthermore, as long as anti-constitutional lawmakers like those in Connecticut continue to make it easier for us to be killed by limiting our self-defense choices and maintaining "gun-free zones" like Sandy Hook Elementary School, more of us will be.

What the Connecticut lawmakers should have voted for were less restrictive gun ownership rules, so their citizens could have had a fighting chance the next time some lunatic comes to do them harm.
