University of North Carolina says complimenting a woman on her shoes is now a 'microaggression'

Microaggressions

(NaturalNews) One of the most prestigious schools in the Southeast has become a national laughingstock, after a set of guidelines on how to avoid so-called "microaggressions" on campus gained national attention. According to officials at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), bidding someone a pleasant Christmas vacation or complimenting a woman on her shoes are both forms of oppression against minorities that only the harshest of anti-discrimination policies can adequately address.

Calling people "male" and "female" is also offensive, claim the two women – oops, are we even allowed to call them that? – who penned the guidelines, because transgendered folks who can't even match their own chromosomes to the correct verbiage might become triggered. You'd also better not use the terms "husband" or "wife," or even "boyfriend" or "girlfriend," because, again, you might offend the mentally ill among us who would rather be called by the generic term for an object: "it."

Anything and then some that might possibly offend someone who isn't a white, Christian male is included in UNC's no-no list, illustrating once again the utter derangement of modern liberalism run amok. Even inviting someone to join in on a round of golf is apparently offensive to UNC officials, who claim that it might make someone with a lower income – because golf is only for the rich, it turns out – feel badly about themselves.

Ignoring the fact that a bucket of balls at the average driving range is only about $10, the lunacy of inventing these and other offenses out of thin air and expecting every student attending a public, taxpayer-funded university to abide by them, shows just how far down the crapper this country has gone, and how little the average American seems to care anymore.

Following a swell of negative media attention, UNC later decided to pull the guidelines from its website with claims that they were merely "recommendations," rather than official school policy. An official backtracking statement from the school has now taken its place.

Runaway liberalism is destroying America

In case you were wondering who would even come up with such nonsense, they're exactly who you might expect: two raging feminists with an axe to grind against their make-believe oppressors. Sharbari Dey is listed as an "education program coordinator" for UNC's department of "Diversity and Multicultural Affairs," and Krista Prince is a dorm life coordinator whose doctoral studies are centered around "women's and gender studies," the primary focal areas of which include "feminist theory."

You can view both of their respective school profiles here and here. You can also view their LinkedIn profiles here and here.

Folks, as silly as all this might sound – I mean, eliminating gender pronouns could never become actual policy, right? – these are the folks reinventing America's future, and that's because we're letting them. Heck, Obama has already taken it upon himself to become the nation's bathroom police with little resistance. What's to stop your children's school administrators from deciding that every religious holiday, every cultural norm and every tradition that most of us cherish are now off limits because a select few want to recreate society to reflect their own derelict views and beliefs?

Runaway liberalism will stop at nothing to dismantle every last rivet from the structural frame of this country. Everything that our forefathers fought to protect – life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness – is now on the chopping block because of a loudmouthed few who would rather see the government boot of tyranny stomp down upon everyone with whom they disagree. The question is: are we going to let it happen?
