Black Muslim charged with carrying out false-flag arson attack on mosque to incite hatred against white Christians

Houston mosque fire

(NaturalNews) [Update 12/31/15: MJ Khan, president of the organization which operates the mosque, originally told the media that he had no knowledge of Gary Nathanial Moore, the alleged arsonist. However, he has since changed his story. As reported by NBC News: "MJ Khan, president of the Islamic Society of Greater Houston, confirmed at a press conference Wednesday afternoon that Moore did attend prayer services there, but added, 'I wouldn't call him a regular.'"]

It's bad enough that professional racialists, religion baiters and other assorted ne'er-do-wells are trying to keep Americans riled up and divided over the various issues related to matters of ethnicity and faith, but now community-level provocateurs are getting into the act.

As reported by Breitbart News, surveillance video from surrounding businesses was used to identify Houston resident and Muslim follower Gary Nathanial Moore, 37, as the man who allegedly started a Christmas Day (note the timing) fire that destroyed a mosque in the city.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Moore is a devout Muslim, going to the storefront mosque he reportedly torched to pray five times a day, seven days a week. The paper said he had attended the mosque for five years.

MJ Khan, president of the Islamic Society of Greater Houston, which operates the mosque, told the paper he did not know Moore. "We are just looking into it ourselves," he said the morning after Moore's arrest.

Pathetic media jumps at every chance to hammer political opponents

The paper claimed that the motivation for the alleged act of arson remains a mystery, but to Breitbart News' John Nolte, it seems clear that the motive was diabolical, judging from the manner in which leftist media organizations immediately attempted to use the fire as a political tool to place blame on Republicans and Christians (and GOP frontrunner Donald Trump).

For example, this from CBS News:

Advocacy groups believe there has been a spike in anti-Muslim incidents across the United States in recent weeks that can be linked to the mass shooting in California and the inflammatory rhetoric of Donald Trump and other Republican presidential candidates. And they say that Muslims are fearful the backlash could lead to further harassment and violence.

Never one to miss a chance to bash the GOP and traditional America, CNN chimed in as well:

The Houston chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations called on authorities to investigate the fire for an anti-Muslim motive.

"Because of the recent spike in hate incidents targeting mosques nationwide, we urge law enforcement authorities to investigate a possible bias motive for this fire," Mustafaa Carroll, the chapter's executive director, said in a statement.

Oh, there was "bias" alright, Mr. Carroll – just not the kind you think.

More from NBC News:

The Houston chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations called on authorities to investigate a possible bias motive in the case, citing what it called a "recent spike in hate incidents targeting mosques nationwide.

How's that 'diversity' thing working out?

Of course, now that a devout Muslim has actually been charged for this crime, the story will be ignored and likely memory-holed by the liberal media. Because it's not about responsible journalism when it comes to "reporting" such incidents; it's about exploiting a potential political opportunity to simultaneously paint your opponent (in this case, conservatives and Christians) in a bad light and put them on the defensive. So what if it's not true – most people will just remember that the incident was tied to Trump, the GOP, traditional America and Christians, and that's all they'll ever remember.

No retractions from the pathetic legacy media outlets that misreported the incident (intentionally). No apologies. No pledges to be more careful and do more diligence and fact-checking the next time. And no regard whatsoever as to the lasting social damage such irresponsible reporting does to the country.

"The media's playbook is always to immediately use any disaster or crime as a means to make the GOP answer for it. Then, once the facts come out and point to a member of the Protected Class, the story is memory-holed and the accusation against the Republican lingers," Nolte wrote.

He's right, of course. And led by progressivists, the ethnic and religious divisions between Americans will only grow deeper and stronger and take longer to reverse, if that's even possible.

It's getting harder to champion "diversity" when the same people who push it are the ones doing all the dividing.
