Hillary-ous Irony: Hillary Clinton tweets that all sexual assault survivors deserve support while ignoring her family's history of committing rape

Hillary Clinton

(NaturalNews) Wait, what? Did Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton seriously just tweet this?

Yes, she did, and this one tweet ought to convince you that this women is absolutely off her rocker and is in no way qualified to be the leader of the free world, let alone its most powerful country.

As noted by The Daily Caller, on the same night CNN aired a controversial and, according to a number of legal critics flawed, documentary about the phony epidemic of sexual assault on college campuses, Clinton tweeted out a message of solidarity for victims of sexual assault.

Because she's as tone-deaf as she is incompetent, she most certainly didn't expect the reaction and backlash she received from it. As The DC further reported:

"The link in her tweet went to a campaign webpage on sexual assault on campus that starts with a quote from a speech Hillary gave in September: 'I want to send a message to every survivor of sexual assault: Don't let anyone silence your voice. You have the right to be heard. You have the right to be believed, and we're with you.'"

Younger Americans among you probably don't remember much about the raucous behavior of Clinton's husband, Bill, when he served as president. But you're about to learn.

During his tenure in office, Bill Clinton became just the second president in history to be impeached, and it happened because he lied to Congress under oath, claiming he did not have a sexual affair with a White House intern, Monica Lewinsky. As The History Channel notes:

"After nearly 14 hours of debate, the House of Representatives approves two articles of impeachment against President Bill Clinton, charging him with lying under oath to a federal grand jury and obstructing justice. Clinton, the second president in American history to be impeached, vowed to finish his term.

"In November 1995, Clinton began an affair with Monica Lewinsky, a 21-year-old unpaid intern. Over the course of a year and a half, the president and Lewinsky had nearly a dozen sexual encounters in the White House."

There were not enough senators who voted to uphold the House's impeachment, so Clinton remained in office. But the Lewinsky scandal was far from his only sexual problem.

At the time of his impeachment Clinton was being sued by a former Arkansas employee, Paula Jones, who worked for the state during Clinton's tenure as governor there, for sexually harassing her.

'Bimbo Eruptions'

And there were others:

-- Kathleen Willey: On March 15, 1998, she alleged on the Sunday evening news-magazine program "60 Minutes," that Clinton had sexually assaulted her during his first term, on Nov. 29, 1993. In September, in response to a just-released Clinton campaign ad that purported to express the candidate's empathy with victims of sexual assault, Willey called the Democrat front runner "a lying pig" and a "hypocritical witch."

-- Juanita Broaddrick: In what became her first media appearance in 10 years, this former Arkansas nursing home administrator also criticized Hillary Clinton over her attempt to champion women's issues, considering she charged husband Bill with actually raping her.

"Shame on you, Hillary, that's disgusting," Broaddrick told WorldNetDaily contributor Aaron Kline, on a recent edition of his Sunday evening talk radio program. "Shame on you, Hillary. It's time to be truthful."

She said she "almost died" when she heard the same September ad that Willey criticized.

Broaddrick's story begins when she began volunteering for Clinton's 1978 Arkansas gubernatorial campaign. As noted by Breitbart News, Clinton expressed an interest in her early on and wound up alone with her in a hotel room, where he allegedly brutalized her (read the account here).

And there is this: When she was set to become first lady, Hillary was well aware that there could be "bimbo eruptions," or revelations about Bill's various sexual misdeeds – since he was not properly vetted by the mainstream media, much in the way Barack Obama got a pass from the same adoring media – so she was determined from the beginning to undermine any woman who came out against Bill, and not for love – for ambition.

As Washington Times columnist Wes Pruden notes, Hillary likely is counting on the fact that millions of voters today were either not alive then or very young and don't remember all of the eruptions.
