(NaturalNews) Irony, hypocrisy – and outsized sense of entitlement – continue to manifest on the campus of the University of Missouri.

In recent days, in response to demands for a "safe space" by some minority students protesting for, among other things, "inclusion" at the troubled Southeastern Conference institution, Mizzou officials permitted the creation of said space, only to see it turned into a zone of racial exclusion.

As reported by The Daily Caller:

In an ironic development, to say the least, protesters at the University of Missouri (MU) segregated themselves by race [recently], having white students leave a gathering in order to create a "black-only healing space."

Supporters of the group orchestrating the protests at Mizzou, Concerned Students 1950 – many of them white – assembled at the school's student center on a recent evening for a meeting following the cancellation of a planned protest march due to bad weather (apparently concerns about racism only rise to a level of importance if the weather's good).

But then, according to one of the activists, Steve Schmidt, who posted to his Twitter account, all whites were asked to get out. He tweeted:

#ConceredStudent1950 is dividing into seven groups,They're asking white allies to leave #ConceredStudent1950

Hypocrisy?

"The seven groups amounted to six breakout groups for black (or at least non-white) students and one for the remaining white students. The deliberately segregated arrangement was confirmed by local reporter Jared Koller, who was there on behalf of local KOMU-TV news," The DC reported.

Koller tweeted:

#ConcernedStudent1950 is currently holding breakout discussion groups in the basement of the student center

And:

6 groups are led by original #ConcernedStudent1950 leaders with white participants in another group upstairs

Johnetta Elzie, a national Black Lives Matter activist who immediately went to Columbia, Missouri – where the main MU campus is located and where all of the protesting has been taking place – after she previously led protest efforts in Ferguson, Mo., and Baltimore, said the focus groups were intended to create a "black-only healing space." She tweeted:

Black only healing space for the students to share, decompress, be vulnerable & real. #ConcernedStudent1950

Much of the Civil Rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s focused on segregation – that is, the forced segregation of blacks out of mostly white society. So, to many, the self-segregation engaged in by this "protest" movement is more than a little ironic.

This is all about payback

"After protesters attacked reporters who were attempting to cover the drama Monday at MU, the group attacked 'white media' for failing to 'understand the importance of respecting black spaces' (though that tweet has since been deleted)," The DC reported.

In the wake of resignations by MU's president and its chancellor, school officials appointed a black man and former MU alumni to head up operations until a permanent replacement is found. But even that wasn't good enough for the "progressive" movement, which tweeted a video complaining that the new hire was simply a front man for "the system."

So what does all of this really mean? Simple – the black radical activists at the center of the Mizzou protests and others involving matters of race are not really interested in "equality" because, by law and constitutional amendment, they already have that. In fact, as I documented recently, minorities really have it pretty good in America, being afforded social and political niceties and courtesies that are not offered to majority whites.

No, what movements like "Black Lives Matter" and "Concerned Student 1950" really represent is an effort to "pay back" white Americans for centuries of "white privilege" – privileges that, again, as I pointed out already, are imaginary these days. Movements like these are nothing more than payback, really, driven by the same kind of racial hate and intolerance that black activists of 50 and 60 years ago were railing against.

Hypocrites? Of course they are. But don't expect any of these folks to realize that any time soon.
