(NaturalNews) Though Natural News and other alternative media sites have regularly covered the link between mind-and-mood altering psychotropic drug use and mass murders, there is a website that is dedicated to such coverage, documenting in detail each of the many murders over the past several years involving drug-crazed shooters.

The site, PsychDrugShooters.com contains updated information on each drug-induced murderer, including the recent mass shooting at a military recruiting center in Chattanooga, in which four Marines and one Navy sailor were killed.

Under the category of "Islamic extremism," the site notes that Mohammod Abdulazeez, a native of Kuwait, "reportedly suffered from depression since he was a child, first seeing a psychiatrist at the age of 12 or 13, according to family members, who admitted he was medicated 'like many children are.'"

Accurate and well-sourced reporting

The Abdulazeez entry continues:

After graduating college with an engineering degree, Abdulazeez lost his job at a nuclear power plant for failing a drug. Leading up the shooting, the 24-year-old was taking a range of prescription drugs including sleep aids, painkillers, opioids and muscle relaxers, and sometimes mixing them with alcohol and marijuana. Abdulazeez was killed in a hail of gun fire by police after opening fire at the second military facility.

Each entry is well-sourced, well-documented and accurate.

The site also documents trends, such as the increased prescribing of dangerous psychotropic drugs to military members. Natural News has also documented that trend, noting that psychotropics are regularly tied to military members who commit suicide.

PsychDrugShooters.com also has a category documenting female killers who were hyped up on dangerous mood-altering drugs when they committed their murders, such as the mass murder at a Washington State grocery store by Laura Sorensen, who "thought she was hunting pedophiles when she opened fire in a grocery store in Gig Harbor... on August 11, 2012, wounding two men and killing a third."

The entry, which again is well-sourced, continues:

Sorensen, 20-years-old at the time of the shooting, had a history of mental illness and was diagnosed with schizophrenia as a teen. Sorensen's mother, a mental health therapist, said she struggled to get her daughter treatment as repeated phone calls to mental health crisis lines went unanswered. Sorensen, who was found not guilty by reason of insanity, told detectives she had a mental condition and was on medication.

Grisly but necessary

And so on. The site further categorizes incidents thusly:

-- Family shootings/murders

-- Military-related violence

-- School shootings

-- Targeted attacks

-- Workplace shootings

While compiling such data might seem grisly to some, the site is actually performing a valuable public service as a one-stop repository of searchable reference material for policymakers legitimately interested in responding to and acting on the connection, rather than politicizing it for personal gain.

Because, as Natural News editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, noted in this June report, not all media cover this link. In fact, he says, coverage is particularly slanted:

Interestingly, only conservative media has begun to cover these links between psych drugs and mass killings. The liberal media is largely running interference for Big Pharma, blocking any such stories while desperately attempting to place the blame for all these killings on a physical object -- a gun -- rather than the drug-warped minds of the young men who made the decision to pull the trigger. (Guns don't shoot by themselves. Someone must make the decision to point it and pull the trigger.)

"I believe that an epidemic of drug abuse in this country is helping to fuel the violence. I am not talking about marijuana, cocaine or heroin – I am specifically singling out prescription drug abuse," wrote Dr. Manny Alvarez of Fox News, in this in this recent report.

No doubt, he is correct. And now, PsychDrugShooters.com will track these tragic -- but preventable -- incidents as they occur.
