(NaturalNews) Evidence has emerged to suggest that Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz, who appears to have intentionally crashed a commercial aircraft in the French Alps, killing himself and 149 other passengers, also deliberately tried to hide the fact that he suffered from mental illness.

Reports indicate that Lubitz's behavior resembled that of a "US school shooter" prior to going on a mass killing spree at a school. According to BBC News, a German hospital confirmed that Lubitz had previously been a patient at the facility, but denied that he was treated for depression.

A followup investigation, however, revealed discarded sick notes in Lubitz's Duesseldorf apartment that confirm his attendance at a medical clinic just days before the crash. These notes, claim investigators, suggest that Lubitz was hiding his true condition from his coworkers and superiors.

"[The] fact that, among the documents found, there were sick notes - torn-up, current and for the day of the crash - leads to the provisional assessment that the deceased was hiding his illness from his employer," states an official report made public by prosecutors.

German news source says Lubitz was treated for physical, not mental, illness

Claims that Lubitz was treated for depression have been countered by the German newspaper Rheinischer Post, which reported that its own unnamed sources confirmed that Lubitz was being treated for physical rather than mental ailments.

The following timeline of Lubitz's health status has been publicly released:

2009: Lubitz, who was still in pilot training during this time, was suffering from "depressions and anxiety attacks," according to the German tabloid Bild. After being treated for 18 months, Lubitz resumed pilot training.

2013: Lubitz qualifies as a pilot "with flying colors," according to Lufthansa, Germanwings' parent company.

2013-2015: Lubitz's alleged medical file, notes that "specific regular medical examination" was taking place, though no details were provided, according to Bild.

February 2015: Lubitz undergoes diagnosis for unspecified illness as Duesseldorf University Clinic; clinic says illness was not depression.

March 10, 2015: Lubitz is once again admitted to Duesseldorf University Clinic.

March 24, 2015: Lubitz is said to have deliberately crashed Germanwings aircraft, killing himself and 149 others.

March 26, 2015: Prosecutors claim to have found two sick notes torn up at Lubitz's addresses in Germany.

Was Lubitz quietly taking psych meds that prompted him to crash plane?

Since these reports were issued, it has also come out that Lubitz was, indeed, taking psychiatric medications prior to crashing the Germanwings plane. Likely among these were the same mind-altering SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) drugs that school shooters like the alleged Adam Lanza of Sandy Hook and Eric Harris of Columbine were also taking prior to their murder sprees.

Most mainstream media outlets have been hesitant to point out the psych med link, as it once again indicts the pharmaceutical drug industry in what appears to be another drug-induced, mass-murder event. But then again, these same media outlets are directly sponsored by the drug industry (just count the number of drug commercials on television these days), so this isn't surprising.

Professor Craig Jackson from Birmingham City University told the Daily Mail Online that Lubitz's behavior, which appears to have been drug-induced, suggests that he was "the type of person who goes on a shooting spree on a campus, schools or army base as a social protest because [he] can't cope anymore."
