(NaturalNews) Gun banners in Washington aren't satisfied with preventing you from taking full advantage of your Second Amendment rights regarding firearms and associated accessories that are already obtainable: They also want to ban
future guns and gun gear as well.
Take a recent
proposal by U.S. Rep. Steve Israel, (D-NY). Shortly after President Obama
affixed his signature to 23 executive "actions" tightening existing gun control regulations, and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed into law a raft of harsh new gun control legislation, Israel is moving to
ban futuristic 3D firearms magazines, according to a press release from his office.
Specifically, Israel is calling for a renewal of an "enhanced"
Undetectable Firearms Act that would include the 3D magazine ban. The existing ban on plastics and plastic guns expires this year, you see, and Israel wants to make sure that no one but police and the military are able to protect themselves effectively.

3D printing is a new technology that shows great promise, but also requires new guidelines. Law enforcement officials should have the power to stop keep homemade high-capacity magazines from proliferating with a Google search."

YouTube video the mass production of 3D magazines is just around the corner. But nowhere in this video a) are claims that such magazines are durable and capable of rigorous use or longevity; or b) evidence that this "demonstration" was anything more than some kind of stunt.
But even if this product is legitimate, there must be something in the culture among the political elite in New York, because Nassau County (New York) District Attorney Kathleen Rice, along with NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, also wants your guns and gun gear. Rice, who is no doubt protected in her ivory tower by armed security guards and police, not only doesn't believe the Second Amendment's "shall not be infringed" clause applies to residents in her county, but she
doesn't trust them either.
Absurdity defined"With every advancement in technology, there will be those who attempt to exploit it for unintended purposes," she said, painting every law-abiding
gun owner in her county, state and across the country as a mass murderer in the making. "And in those situations, it is incumbent upon our elected officials and law enforcement agencies to take necessary action to protect the public. This common sense legislation closes a dangerous loophole in the law, and I strongly support Congressman Israel's efforts in seeing these dangerous magazines banned."
Actually, it is "incumbent" upon elected officials in the U.S., no matter where they hold office, to uphold and carry out the letter of the Constitution, and to law enforcement personnel to ensure those rights are secure. Then again, you'll notice politicians like
Israel are all about addressing "new technology" that might be utilized by Americans seeking to exercise their right to keep and bear arms, but they aren't doing a damned thing about all of the new technology that has been introduced over the past decade that violates your privacy rights every second you are in public or travel through an airport.
What is patently obvious is this: There is a growing political class in America whose members are not simply dismissive of your constitutional rights, but openly hostile to them. This effort to
pre-empt an emerging technology and frame it as potentially dangerous so that it cannot be used by those who take the right to keep and bear arms seriously is absurdity defined.
