(NaturalNews) Download this episode of Mental Health Exposed where Dr. Kevin Ross Emery, author of the book Managing The Gift: Alternative Approaches For Attention Deficit Disorder, joins Mike Bundrant on Natural News Radio's Mental Health Exposed to discuss ADD/HD as an evolutionary process that we need to work with, not medicate!

The problem is, parents and teachers can be too lazy to put a ton of effort into their ADD/HD children to give them what they need. Instead of rolling up their sleeves and tackling the issue day in and day out, they medicate kids in order to slow and dumb them down. Thus, Dr. Kevin's claim that ADHD is a disorder from the "culture of convenience."

Granted, dealing with an ADD/HD child is a ton of work. Yet, who ever said parenting was easy?

Granted, ADD/HD children may have special vitamin and nutrition needs. Discovering how to supply adequate nutrients may be difficult and time consuming. Yet, who promised parents they wouldn't have to spend hours and hours of their time figuring these things out?

Granted, public educators may be too overwhelmed, rigid, ignorant or lazy to teach a child with ADD/HD. In fact, children with ADD/HD are often more intelligent and creative than their teachers. Yet, who said kids need to attend public school?

In this episode of Mental Health Exposed, listen for:

• How ADD/HD kids are not broken or disabled and do not need to be fixed.

• Insights, tools and skills to help the ADD/HD child in your life.

• How to empower ADD/HD children.

• How to embrace childhood gifts and talents on their own terms without having to sacrifice brilliance, creativity, or unique ways of seeing or being in the world through the overuse of medication or behavior modification techniques that destroy their self-worth and self-esteem.

Given the convenient rise in this highly profitable diagnosis - profitable for big pharma and the American Psychiatric Association, that is - doesn't it make sense that a mass propaganda campaign would exist to funnel more children through the mental health system?

ADHD creates a significant financial burden regarding the cost of medical care and work loss for patients and family members. The annual average direct cost per ADHD patient is $1,574.

If it doesn't make sense to you yet, five million kids at $1574 per year for the treatment system - that's a sales figure that is too large for my calculator. Cha-ching! A score for the mental health system, a burden on parents. Just look into ADHD drug sales revenues alone and prepare to be shocked at what you find. This is BIG BUSINESS.

Finally, in this episode here my wife, Hope Bundrant, describes her experience raising her bright, active son, Jesse. You'll be shocked to hear how an ignorant psychiatrist diagnosed Jesse with ADHD and prescribed medication on a whim! Hear the story on this episode and much, much more!
