Cancer causing hormones? Hormone doctor takes on NBC and New York Times

(NaturalNews) Ladies, there is another study that says hormones cause cancer. Oh, by the way, all you women out there taking these natural hormones - there is no difference. There are no studies out there to show that there is any difference. You shouldn't take any of those because they are all the same and they all cause cancer. Dr. Nancy Snyderman, NBC's chief medical editor is fond of generalizing about hormones on the air. According to Neal Rouzier, MD of Palm Springs, she doesn't understand her own ignorance and owes the viewing public a grave apology.

"She couldn't be any more wrong," the hormone doctor told me, "and so I sent a little note to the studio telling them that their doctor was wrong. Then I sent twenty articles along with that note showing evidence that she was wrong. I also requested that she, on national television, set the record straight so that she doesn't confuse the public further. I didn't hear anything back and there was no verbal apology to the public about what she said."

Dr. Rouzier's tone suggested that he actually expected a response from NBC. He has gotten responses from other misinformed television personalities. When one popular health correspondent said that estrogen and progesterone cause cancer, the hormone doctor sent her a note: Progesterone does not cause cancer, but Provera (synthetic for progesterone) does. You cannot use progesterone and Provera in the same sentence.

The response: Well, the reason I used progesterone is because if I said Provera it would have confused everyone and people don't even know the difference anyway.

The hormone doctor replied: Thank you for further confusing the public and not stating it correctly so that they would learn that there is a difference as opposed to you furthering that misunderstanding, which is really a shame.

Unfortunately, most of the journalists who write about it don't understand it, Dr. Rouzier contends. Most of the doctors that they copy when they write don't understand it or misstate the issues, which makes for extreme confusion. Even in the face of evidence that adamantly shows that there is a difference between Provera and bioidentical progesterone, physicians will frequently mistake or misquote them as being the same, whereas they are not and the falsehood continues to spread.

A journalist in the New York Times requested evidence from Dr. Rouzier that Provera causes cancer and progesterone prevents it. When he sent her 12 studies proving it, the reply was: Well, I don't believe those studies.

Excuse me. Those are from cancer journals. What is it that you don't understand? You don't like it because what they are saying is correct and therefore instead of making any retractions, you continue to propagate what is wrong. You have the ability to help by writing for the New York Times, but you refuse to see the truth.

This is why so many of us remain confused. We see some good doctor or some good journalist stating that hormone therapy is bad or harmful. Then, when a doctor like Dr. Rouzier presents overwhelming evidence in favor of bioidentical hormones, the picture changes dramatically.

Doctors come away from the Dr. Rouzier's hormone courses asking, how come we don't know this? We have been misled and how come somebody doesn't stand up and make a correction? It's because the national media will not let the truth be known.
