(NaturalNews) Today Stan Grist and I headed into the mountains North of Quito, Ecuador to take photos as a preview for our upcoming Ancient Cities of the Sun Tour beginning June 19th. We visited the ancient sacred hilltop site known as Catequilla, which is, astonishingly, located precisely on the equator (a photo of my GPS reading shows you this).

From the top of Catequilla, you can look down upon Rumicucho, an ancient pre-Incan outpost that was later used by the Incas as a military post. This ancient outpost (also featured in the photos published here) is located 22.5 degrees to the North-Northwest of Catequilla -- making it one of several ancient sites placed on the planet in near-perfect alignment with the map lines found at the Catequilla monument. The significance of this alignment of sacred sites has not yet been realized (or even acknowledged) by traditional archeologists.

Living in the crater of an ancient volcanoFrom there, we visited the Pululahua crater, the largest volcanic crater in South America. It's so large, it has its own weather patterns and hundreds of farms have taken root in the rich soils inside the crater, producing abundant food for local families.
A Catholic mission once existed in the crater, and its inhabitants mined enormous quantities of alluvial gold from the crater walls!
On our upcoming tour, we'll be trekking down into the crater (and back up) -- an unforgettable experience that enfolds you in the powerful energies of Mother Nature.
From there, we proceeded to Rumicucho, the pre-Incan outpost that has just recently been partially excavated and restored. It overlooks two valleys north of Quito, making it the ideal defensive outpost for its inhabitants. There, Stan found painted pottery shards while we walked among the ancient rooms of what was once a thriving pre-Incan city. (The views were astonishing.)
Anti-gravity effects, sun dials and more...Next, we ventured to the Museo de Sitio Intinan -- a fascinating museum located precisely on the equator. (Many visitors come to get their photos taken straddling the equator.) This place is more than just a museum, though: Its owner is into alternative science, and his museum offers several fascinating experiments directly on the equator that will leave you astonished.
In one head-scratching experiment, for example, a group of students nearly levitated a fellow student sitting directly on the equator. They held their hands over his head, meditated with intention, then lifted him effortlessly (to their great astonishment!). This effect was explained to me as an "anti-gravity" effect of the planetary energy lines that intersect at certain points along the equator.
