(NaturalNews) Even as 13-year-old Daniel Hauser and his family are dealing with the reality of living in a medical police state that labeled them "fugitives from the law" for refusing chemotherapy, another similar case has taken center stage this week: The case of Billy Best.

At age 16, Billy Best was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, just like Daniel Hauser. Also like Daniel Hauser, he was ordered to undergo chemotherapy. After five rounds of chemo -- which he describes as nearly killing him -- Billy decided chemo wasn't right for him, and he refused to submit to more chemo.

Fleeing his parents and medical "authorities," Billy discovered his own natural treatments for cancer with the help of concerned citizens, and by changing his diet and taking these natural remedies, he was able to heal cancer and save his own life.

That was fifteen years ago. Today, in sharp contrast to the cancer doctors who claim that teenagers who don't submit to chemotherapy almost always die, Billy Best is alive and well. He joined me for an exclusive interview today to discuss his experience with chemotherapy and health freedom. You can listen to the full interview (32 minutes) here: https://www.naturalnews.com/Index-Podcasts.ht...

Words from Billy Best, chemotherapy survivor and former fugitive from the law for daring to treat his own cancer using natural remedies:

"After five rounds [of chemo] I lost my hair, lost a lot of weight... you smell different, you feel like a toxic experiment. It's not pleasant at all. I didn't have faith in the therapy and I thought that the chemo was going to kill me. I didn't know about alternative medicine. The doctors said the only way you treat cancer is chemo, radiation and surgery. I didn't want the surgery. They wanted to take out my spleen even though it didn't have cancer."

"I think that God made me with a spleen, do I'd like to keep it."

"I was getting so desperate that I left my parents a note, told them that I had to leave because I felt like chemo was killing me instead of helping me."

"My parents said if I came home, I didn't have to go back on chemo because they found out about a bunch of new different ways to treat cancer naturally."

"So I changed my diet so I wasn't eating red meat, white flour, sugar or dairy products. Just pretty basic guidelines. A lot of vegetables. I also did a tea called ESSIAC tea, it's got a lot of nutrients in it, it also helps to clean toxins out of your body. But the main therapy I found, the one that I ended up using that saved my life was called 714-X and it's from Canada. It's a solution of camphor, nitrogen and mineral salts, and you inject it into your lymphatic system."

"Conventional medicine has failed us, in so many ways."

"With this Danny Hauser case, I can't believe that, to me the way I see it is that the authorities are saying we know what's best for you and we can force it on you."

[About how he became aware of alternative therapies for cancer:]

"It was the people who saw a story on TV about a kid that was in trouble, and they took time out of their day to write a letter to help. I attribute it to the world, because from around the world people sent letters and shared all this information with me. And that's the only reason I found out about it. I don't remember having the internet when I went through this."

"The thing that breaks my heart the most is listening to his doctor say that if he doesn't do chemo, he has a five percent chance of survival. I don't think anyone should be able to tell anybody that, especially a young man. They're like well, sorry, you're gonna die."

"[Conventional doctors] don't know anything about medicine... we'd be better off without them."

[About the Daniel Hauser court case:]
"The state had a super squad of lawyers trying to get this kid back on chemo. ... They were brutal. These were the five best lawyers in Minnesota. ... I can only guess that it's the government, and it's to protect the pocketbooks of the pharmaceutical industry. Because if people start going out and using natural medicine to heal their cancer, this is a billion dollar industry that's down the toilet."

"They treat the symptoms of cancer but never actually the cause of cancer. What causes cancer? Instead of just making a tumor go away, why can't we figure out why the tumor came? Maybe you live near power lines, maybe you drink polluted water, maybe you're stressed, maybe you have anger. I don't know. But all there are all these things we don't know about. I just feel that the conventional mainstream medical community shuts [out] all these options."

Saving his own life

When I asked Billy Best whether he thought he would still be alive today if he had surrendered to chemotherapy in 1994, here's what he said:

"I would have to deal with other kinds of cancer from the treatment because they do cause cancer, and you have to sign that. The most memorable thing for me is, when they're saying you have to sign this paper because your son's going to start getting chemo. My mother read that list and cried. Because she's like, you're doing this to my child."

[On the issue of Daniel Hauser and his family:]

"It's about Danny, and it's about him getting better. And his family getting to do what they want to do, but I think it's also bringing attention to the fact that our medicine has failed us, and it's time we looked at other options."

"Keep the governments on the roads and bridges, let me choose my medicine for my body. I don't understand what the problem is. Why do we have to go to court? Why is a family on the run? It's my body, let me do it. It's my medicine, let me do it."

"Life is tough. Life is tough when you're young. When you're young with cancer, it's not good. And when you're on the run, it's very tough."

He serves as the founding editor of NaturalNews.com and the lab science director of an internationally accredited (ISO 17025) analytical laboratory known as CWC Labs. There, he was awarded a Certificate of Excellence for achieving extremely high accuracy in the analysis of toxic elements in unknown water samples using ICP-MS instrumentation. Adams is also highly proficient in running liquid chromatography, ion chromatography and mass spectrometry time-of-flight analytical instrumentation.

Adams is a person of color whose ancestors include Africans and Native American Indians. He's also of Native American heritage, which he credits as inspiring his "Health Ranger" passion for protecting life and nature against the destruction caused by chemicals, heavy metals and other forms of pollution.

Adams is the founder and publisher of the open source science journal Natural Science Journal, the author of numerous peer-reviewed science papers published by the journal, and the author of the world's first book that published ICP-MS heavy metals analysis results for foods, dietary supplements, pet food, spices and fast food. The book is entitled Food Forensics and is published by BenBella Books.

In his laboratory research, Adams has made numerous food safety breakthroughs such as revealing rice protein products imported from Asia to be contaminated with toxic heavy metals like lead, cadmium and tungsten. Adams was the first food science researcher to document high levels of tungsten in superfoods. He also discovered over 11 ppm lead in imported mangosteen powder, and led an industry-wide voluntary agreement to limit heavy metals in rice protein products.

In addition to his lab work, Adams is also the (non-paid) executive director of the non-profit Consumer Wellness Center (CWC), an organization that redirects 100% of its donations receipts to grant programs that teach children and women how to grow their own food or vastly improve their nutrition.
