(NewsTarget) EFT, or The Emotional Freedom Technique is a technique based on acupuncture points that helps people to experience emotional harmony. Emotional stress has a tremendous impact on physical health, causing it to go into its primal state of fight or flight, with hormones being released, the digestive system turning off and muscles tightening. While diet and exercise are essential for health and wellbeing, emotional health is equally vital. When the mind is at peace, the body is able to function and heal.

This Simple Yet Incredibly Effective Technique can Help to:

•Release negative emotions
•Eliminate addictions to substance, food, and many others
•Reduce pain
•Relieve phobias
•Live up to your potential
•Enjoy vibrant health.

EFT uses the same energy system as the ancient art of acupuncture, but rather than using needles, the practitioner taps on the points with their fingers while you think about or talk about a specific issue. You can also say a positive affirmation to make the transformation even stronger. The combination of tapping these important energy centers and thinking about an issue or saying an affirmation can clear out emotional blockages and restore balance in body and mind. This can have a tremendously positive impact on emotional wellbeing and physical health.

As EFT becomes increasingly popular, more and more research is proving its validity.

Reduces Anxiety

One study published in the Energy Psychology Interactive: An Integrated Book involved 5,000 people who had been diagnosed as having anxiety disorder. The study compared EFT to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) combined with medication. Half of the group was given EFT and the other half was given CBT/medication.

Independent clinicians carefully analyzed and interviewed each patient at the end of the therapy, then again after 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year. They were unaware of which therapy the patients were receiving, only what their symptoms were at the beginning of the study. They gave a rating of complete remission of symptoms, partial remission of symptoms, or no clinical response.

At the close of therapy:

63% of the EFT group were judged as having improved
90% of the CBT/medication group were judged as having improved
51% of the EFT group were judged as being symptom free
76% of the CBT/medication group were judged as symptom free

After one-year, the patients who had been given EFT were less likely to relapse or partial relapse than those who had been given CBT/Medication. This was not only revealed by the independent clinician ratings, but also by brain imaging and neurotransmitter profiles.

EFT has been shown to be effective far more quickly than CBT/medication by another related study. What took an average of 3 sessions with EFT took on average 15 session of CBT/medication to accomplish similar results.

While these studies were not initially intended to be published, and so the variables were not rigorously precise, the findings were so striking that the researchers decided to publish them after all. More precise studies are currently underway.
