Today marks the official opening of a new Visitors' Center and a new TAHITIAN NONI(TM) Cafe at the company's corporate headquarters in Provo, UT. Tahitian Noni International is the developer and exclusive provider of the internationally acclaimed TAHITIAN NONI(R) Juice. The Cafe features fruit smoothie drinks and frozen yogurt desserts fortified with TAHITIAN NONI Juice concentrate -- spicy noni chai and proprietary noni tea -- as well as healthy sandwiches, muffins and snacks.
"I want to personally thank those who took the risk, invested the money, and created what we see here today," said Governor Huntsman. "They are remarkable entrepreneurs, in the midst of a tremendous industry."
The supplements industry in Utah is a $4 billion market, Huntsman noted.
"I also want to personally comment on the humanitarian aspect of what Tahitian Noni International is doing," Governor Huntsman continued. "I understand your company prepared more than 20,000 packets that will be sent to schools throughout the Middle East, some of them in Iraq. This is not only a profitable company and a good product; it's a company that stands for helping people in need at the end of the day."
Governor Huntsman concluded his remarks by signing a resolution to acknowledge Tahitian Noni International for its presence in 73 companies, with a base of more than 1.3 million distributors and 1,100 employees worldwide, with half of them located in Utah.
The first Tahitian Noni Cafe opened in Tokyo in 2003. Fukuoka, Japan opened two months ago, and the Provo opening brings the active total to three. Five more are underway in Nagoya and Osaka, Japan, Munich, Germany, Dallas Texas and Atlanta, Georgia. The company anticipates launching a total of 24 Cafes by the end of 2006.
Next to the cafe, Tahitian Noni International also opened the new corporate Visitors' Center. This Visitors' Center Is open to the public not only as an introduction to Tahitian Noni International and the French Polynesian culture, but also as a location for local and regional art exhibits, cultural events, and regional musical performances.
