DARTMOUTH, NS, Oct. 12 /CNW/ - When Holly Bond opened Bulldog Interactive Fitness she knew the kids would love the interactive equipment but the results these kids are getting are beyond expectations.
Holly Bond was tired of telling her overweight teenage son to put down the controller of his Xbox and go outside.
Through months of studying for her Youth Fitness Trainer Certification and planning focus groups with teenagers and parents, Holly developed the concept of what is now the franchise Bulldog Interactive Fitness.
A 10 minute game turns into a 30 minute workout with PS2 Game Bikes and DDR dance machines...there is also a rotating climbing wall.
Bulldog Interactive Fitness is currently working with several companies and schools to design their own line of interactive fitness equipment.
Trent Dugas, a 13 year old video game junky, came to Bulldog weighing over 220 pounds and with consultation and supervision of Youth Trainer Les Dobie, has dropped below 200 in just 8 weeks.
"Trent is one of dozens of success stories we are seeing at the facility" explains Holly with pride.
We have zero tolerance for bullying and everyone who joins understands how important it is to treat all members with respect" adds Ms Bond.
He brings his background in fitness consulting and rehabilitative exercise to tailor and supervise individual programs.
Ryan studied under Dr. Phil Campagna, a leading authority on childhood obesity and principal investigator of the PACY Study (Physical Activity in Children and Youth) research project examining physical activity levels of Nova Scotia children and youth.
With the growing success locally there have been many people interested in opening a Bulldog Interactive Fitness franchise in locations throughout North America.
