MSM blacks out nationwide rallies against Planned Parenthood just like they black out GMO protests

by Ethan A. Huff, staff writer

(NaturalNews) More than 13,000 pro-life advocates gathered at dozens of locations across the country at the end of July to protest continued government funding for Planned Parenthood, though you wouldn't know it from the way the mainstream media covered (or didn't) the multi-site rally.

Two pro-life groups, Students for Life of America (SFLA) and its sister organization Pro-Life Future, organized the rally following the release of undercover videos captured by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) exposing an illegal organ harvesting ring taking place at Planned Parenthood affiliates nationwide.

At each of the rally sites, protesters drew as much attention as possible to the Planned Parenthood scandal. The goal was to bring to light the fact that this pro-abortion group is profiting from the sale of body parts collected from aborted human babies.

But local and national news affiliates alike ignored the rallies, pretending as though they never happened. Little was said on cable news or in major national papers about the #WomenBetrayed hashtag campaign, which unveils Planned Parenthood as an exploiter of vulnerable women and their unborn babies.

This blatant censorship by the media ended up derailing efforts to defund Planned Parenthood, which takes in some $528 million annually in combined federal, state and local government grants and contracts. Congress rejected a bill that would have taken this taxpayer funding away from Planned Parenthood.

"Planned Parenthood is performing barbaric and grotesque activities and yet received $528 million in combined federal, state and local government grants and contracts in 2013-2014, and has a reported revenue of over $1.3 billion," says Arina Grossu, Director of the Center for Human Dignity at the Family Research Council."

"Planned Parenthood has now been caught red-handed in baby organ trafficking, endangering women by changing abortion methods to procure intact organs, possibly violating the partial-birth abortion ban, helping sex traffickers cover up the trafficking of minor girls, sexual abuse cover-up, scheduling sex selective abortions, and accepting money to abort black babies."

#WomenBetrayed campaign to defund Planned Parenthood soars, despite media blackout

The mainstream media, or what many refer to as the MSM, is notorious for burying information that counteracts its agenda. It did the same thing during the March Against Monsanto rallies by deliberately ignoring the fact that they even took place, even though the worldwide event drew tens of thousands of supporters in more than 400 cities globally.

Now with Planned Parenthood, the goal is much the same: to make it seem as though nobody in the public is really all that bothered by the fact that the nation's largest abortion group is committing felony crimes by selling aborted baby body parts for profit.

From a grassroots perspective, the #WomenBetrayed campaign has been a huge success. Thousands have since joined the effort to continue pushing Congress to defund Planned Parenthood. But those who consume only national news likely don't even know this is all taking place.

They probably also missed the fact that several major presidential candidates showed up to the D.C. rally in Washington, including Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), and Dr. Ben Carson. Each of these candidates issued a call for Planned Parenthood to be immediately defunded and investigated for criminal activity.

"The response from the grassroots to defund Planned Parenthood has been truly astounding," stated SFLA president Kristan Hawkins in a statement to Breitbart News. "But this is only the beginning."

"SFLA will be building upon these rallies next month, asking participants to visit their congressional representatives and demand they defund the abortion giant immediately," she added.
