Illegal immigrant released onto U.S. streets commits murder of woman and kidnapping of U.S. citizens

(NaturalNews) An illegal alien that was released by U.S. authorities and handed a Notice to Appear later in federal court has been arrested and charged with the murder of a woman and the kidnapping of children on American soil, alleged crimes that occurred after his release.
As noted by The Associated Press (AP), the suspect, Pedro Alberto Monterroso-Navas, 43, is now facing second-degree murder charges in the death of his girlfriend, who was found bludgeoned in her suburban New Orleans apartment over the weekend of July 11, according to police.
Monterroso-Navas was arrested with his three children in a trailer park in Katy, Texas, shortly after the alleged murder, according to Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, sheriff's Col. John Fortunato.
AP didn't say he was illegal
"Unless he fights extradition to Jefferson Parish, he will be returned here and face a second-degree murder charge" in the death of Heidi Monroy, 24, Fortunato added.
The sheriff's colonel said the suspect's three kids were with him at the time of his arrest and are safe; Monroy was the mother of the youngest child, age 2.
AP reported:
Around 3:35 a.m. Sunday, Monroy's two other children, ages 5 and 8, asked neighbors for help, Fortunato said. Deputies found the woman unconscious with head wounds and she died in her Metairie apartment, Sheriff Newell Normand said.
An autopsy Monday confirmed that Monroy had been bludgeoned, Fortunato said. Investigators do not know what she was hit with, he said.
Monterroso-Navas is from Honduras and was living in Metarie, a suburb of New Orleans.
That was what AP reported; what the news agency did not report was his status as an illegal immigrant, which, of course, is a vital piece of the story.

The man, Pedro Alberto Monterroso-Navas, entered the U.S. illegally with children and turned himself in to U.S. Border Patrol agents. He was processed and released, as are all illegal immigrants who come as unaccompanied minors or incomplete family units from Central America.
Breitbart Texas further confirmed that the suspect is part of the Obama administration's current "catch and release" policy for family groups jumping the border illegally from Central America.
Also, the news service said that a U.S. Border Patrol source who spoke with it on condition of anonymity provided the alien registration number for Monterroso-Navas, as well as the event number for the man's apprehension. He was reportedly processed at the McAllen, Texas, Border Patrol station; his registration number is 202027386, and the event number for his apprehension is MCS14061487.
Dangerous gang members crossing into the U.S. as well
"The 'MCS' designates the McAllen station, the '1406' designates that the man was apprehended in June of 2014. A separate Border Patrol source confirmed that the man was apprehended on June 26, 2014 with two children he claimed were his own. He told U.S. authorities he had family in Metairie," Breitbart Texas reported.
Critics of the president's policy of essentially catching and releasing illegal border crossers from Central America, requiring them only to promise to show up at an immigration hearing sometime in the distant future, have complained that too many coming into the country could be dangerous.
And a growing number of Americans are particularly concerned that members of MS-13, a notoriously dangerous gang from Central America, are getting into the country as well. Indeed, ABC affiliate KRGV, in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, reported July 16 that local police arrested an MS-13 gang member from El Salvador; he was among a group of illegal aliens that police stopped after a traffic violation.
