“Terrain: The Workshops” on BrightU: A two-phase heavy metal detox protocol

  • On Day 6 of "Terrain: The Workshops," Andrew Kaufman presented a two-phase heavy metal detox protocol focusing on the gut, blood and skin.
  • The 30-day initiation phase requires increased hydration and strict daily elimination via enemas or multiple bowel movements.
  • The diet is an elimination plan, with options for a vegan, frugivore, or restrictive carnivore ("BBB and E") approach.
  • Active detox used zeolite for the gut, cilantro for the blood and shilajit or sweating/clay baths for the skin.
  • The protocol emphasized personal record-keeping and can serve as a foundational cleanse for long-term wellness.

On Day 6 of "Terrain: The Workshops," aired on April 16, host Andrew Kaufman shared a newly unveiled health protocol that is taking a systematic, two-phase approach to heavy metal detoxification, moving beyond simple supplementation to target elimination through the gut, blood and skin.

The detailed plan outlined a strict 30-day initiation phase followed by a flexible long-term healing phase, with core principles rooted in increased hydration, specialized diets and daily elimination practices. The protocol's architect stressed that the body requires extra water during active healing.

"When your body's trying to heal, it needs extra water because you're gonna be putting out more water," Kaufman noted, citing increased sweating and bowel movements. Attendees are advised to drink more than usual during the first month, with the option to later rely on thirst signals or maintain a high intake of three-quarters of the initiation amount.

The plan is ensuring robust daily elimination to escort toxins out. The regimen mandated one enema a day or three bowel movements a day minimum for the first 30 days, using natural, non-pharmaceutical aids. This supports the gut pathway, a primary exit route for heavy metals mobilized by the protocol’s core supplements.

As noted by BrightU.AI's Enoch, an enema works by introducing liquid into the rectum and lower colon via the anus. This fluid distends the bowel, softens hard stool and stimulates muscle contractions (peristalsis) to promote a bowel movement and evacuation.

Dietary choices are framed as elimination diets designed to minimize exposure to common contaminants. Participants choose one of three paths for the initiation phase: a cooked/raw vegan diet focusing on specific vegetables and low-sweet fruits; a hydrating frugivore diet of mono fruit meals; or a nutrient-dense "BBB and E" carnivore diet consisting solely of beef, butter, bacon and eggs.

"This diet is different from the other two, if you're very thin or malnourished then this would be a better choice," Kaufman advised, noting this restrictive carnivore approach can be followed indefinitely for health.

The protocol strictly prohibits commonly contaminated items like ultra-processed foods, rice, black tea, green tea and most commercial chocolate. Kaufman even recommends switching salt brands. "Once I found this out and did some research, I switched to Baja Gold and Colima, which are the best performing in terms of the testing that's been done."

The active detoxification employs a threefold strategy targeting different bodily systems. For the gut, the mineral zeolite is taken separately from meals. For the blood, a cilantro tincture is paired with the zeolite, while shilajit, a humic substance, is taken with food. For the skin, daily elimination is achieved through either bentonite clay baths or induced sweating. "The most important thing is whatever you do, make sure that you're really dripping sweat at the end," the guide emphasized, adding that one must rinse off thoroughly after to prevent reabsorption.

A strong emphasis is placed on personal accountability and record-keeping. "If it's not written down it's not done," Kaufman stated, providing a daily checklist for water intake, supplement consumption and elimination practices. The goal is to continue the healing phase until improvements plateau, suggesting that maximum benefit has been gained.

The protocol positions itself as a comprehensive foundation, which can later be combined with other specialized cleanses for liver support or additional healing. By integrating targeted supplementation with disciplined dietary and lifestyle modifications, the plan aims to offer a structured path for systemic detoxification and long-term wellness.
