DeSantis DROPS OUT of presidential race, leaving Trump as clear Republican nominee
01/23/2024 // Ethan Huff // Views

Recognizing that hell freezing over is considerably more likely a possibility than he ever getting elected to the White House, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has dropped out of the 2024 presidential race, leaving Donald Trump as the only viable candidate for the Republican nomination.

The corporate-controlled media is still pretending as though U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley (Nimarata Randhawa) is still a viable contender, but as we reported, Randhawa is a globalist tool who supports billionaire eugenicist Bill Gates and his vaccine agenda, this being a wildly unpopular stance among conservative Republicans.

The New Hampshire primary will see just Trump and Haley battling it out, this being the last chance for the Republican Party to oust Trump before he secures the nomination.

After dropping out, DeSantis endorsed Trump, whom The Associated Press (AP) described as his "bitter rival." DeSantis also attacked Haley in an exit video he shared to social media.

"It's clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance," DeSantis said straight into the camera, putting on a cheerful demeanor.

"I signed a pledge to support the Republican nominee and I will honor that pledge. He has my endorsement because we can't go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear, a repackaged form of warmed-over corporatism that Nikki Haley represents."

It's down to Haley and Trump for the Republican ticket

At a recent campaign stop in Seabrook, N.H., Haley, speaking around the same time that DeSantis uploaded his exit video, told a very small crowd that DeSantis "ran a great race," adding that "he's been a good governor, and we wish him well."

"Having said that, it's now one fella and one lady left," Haley continued.

Almost nobody is surprised that DeSantis called it quits, seeing as how he suffered a 30-point blowout loss in the Iowa caucus. Despite having been once regarded as a legitimate threat to Trump's "supremacy in the Republican Party," to once again quote the AP, DeSantis is a goner as far as running for president goes.

Trump, meanwhile, offered his condolences to DeSantis at his own campaign stop in Rochester, N.H., calling the Florida governor a "really terrific person."

"I also look forward to working with Ron," Trump added.

Before dropping out, DeSantis blew through a tremendously large political fortune in excess of $130 million. This massive war chest was not even close to convincing conservative Republicans to support him over Trump, though.

DeSantis reportedly notified his top donors and supporters that he is dropping out of the race via a series of phone calls and text messages sent by his senior campaign officials, according to two people, speaking anonymously, who claim to have received such communications.

Prior to dropping out, DeSantis was slated to make numerous television appearances that had to be canceled, which was blamed on a "miscommunication" with DeSantis' super PAC.

"While I've had disagreements with Donald Trump, such as on the coronavirus pandemic and his elevation of Anthony Fauci, Trump is superior to the current incumbent, Joe Biden," DeSantis said. "That is clear."

For the past year, Trump and his campaign team have relentlessly taunted DeSantis over everything from his height to his eating habits to his personality. Many of DeSantis' former staffers now work for Trump.

DeSantis is now joining Trump in blasting Haley, who many saw as splitting the Republican votes and decreasing DeSantis' chances of seeing a head-to-head matchup with Trump.

"She will not be the nominee," said key DeSantis supporter Rep. Chip Roy (R-Tex.). "She will not be the president of the United States."
