The embers are still smoldering and Hawaii Gov. Josh Green is “already thinking of ways for state to acquire that land”

There are already plans in the works for the government to start gobbling up all the charred land in and around Lahaina, the area of Maui devastated by the deadliest "wildfire" in modern United States history.

The flames were barely out when Hawaii Gov. Josh Green announced to the world that he is "already thinking of ways for the state to acquire that land," which appears to have possibly been the motive all along for this supposedly unexpected disaster.

If you listen closely to Green's words in the above clip, it quickly becomes apparent that the idea of turning Lahaina into "open spaces in perpetuity" sounds a whole lot like the re-wilding agenda of the globalists who want to turn the U.S. and other Western countries into "green" spaces where no more humans live.

"We want this to be something we remember after the pain passes as a magic place," Green further added in a statement to reporters. "Lahaina will rebuild."

"The tragedy right now is the loss of life. The buildings can be rebuilt over time, even the banyan tree may survive, but we don't want this to become a clear space where then people from overseas just come and decide they're going to take it. The state will take it and preserve it first."

What does Gov. Green mean by "people from overseas" just coming to "take" Lahaina for themselves?

That latter portion of Green's statement is even more curious in that who exactly is he referring to when he says that "people from overseas just come and decide they're going to take it?" Is this a pertinent threat now that Lahaina is a smoldering pile of ash and ruins?

Green seems to have emphasized the fact that foreign investors are planning to exploit the disaster by coming in and buying up – or perhaps just taking – all that prime real estate. Is Green trying to stop this by having Hawaii get ahead of the game by buying it all up first?

In a separate interview, Green once again emphasized that he wants the torched land in and around Lahaina to be safeguarded for locals rather than turned into another rich people exploit. Green stated that he has spoken with the Hawaii attorney general about "options to do a moratorium on any sales of properties that have been damaged or destroyed."

"It's going to be a very long time before any growth or housing can be built, so you will be pretty poorly informed if you try to steal land from our people and then build here," he said.

"I will try to allow no one from outside our state to buy any land until we get through this crisis and decide what Lahaina should be in the future."

According to local media reports, the Lahaina fire razed more than 2,000 structures, three-fourths of them being residential properties. The current death toll is around 100 and rising, with ongoing searches of building interiors expected to spike the death count substantially higher.

"The people still own their land," one commenter noted about how Green's statements are a moot point in this regard, at least for those who can afford it.

"Does this have anything to do with Jeff Bezos and the WEF's intentions?" asked another.
