This action appears to be part of a larger strategy to potentially prosecute Trump and interfere with the 2024 election. This is a calculated motive behind the Democrats' move, which goes beyond notions of "justice" or "secure elections." Instead, it is driven by the anticipation of further charges from Biden's politically weaponized Department of Justice.
The so-called “fake electors” case is said to be central to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation of Trump and his campaign. Former President Trump said Tuesday he had been informed he was a target of the inquiry.

Right on time, much like the last presidential election when the sudden COVID outbreak happened at the most 'convenient' moment for the Democrats, chaos ensues," Revolver News noted further. "While this bogus case unfolds in Michigan, Mike Benz" of the Foundation for Freedom Online "has uncovered documents revealing what John Podesta, Hillary’s former campaign CEO, had planned to ensure Biden’s inauguration, regardless of the actual election outcome. What John Podesta plotted was far worse than anything Trump could have ever imagined."

"You can’t make this up — Podesta & Co. planned the test runs of their shenanigans for Michigan," Revolver News added.
This situation exemplifies the troubling realities of our two-tier "justice" system, which has clearly been compromised and weaponized in favor of Democrats, and they are now openly wielding it in a hostile manner as a potent tool to manipulate elections in their favor, leading to unprecedented interference in the democratic process.
It's also obvious that the current regime is willing to sacrifice innocent elderly American citizens' lives to maintain their hold on power.
These sham trials and misuse of the justice system are causing deep and lasting wounds in our nation.

Americans have got to wake up.
