America Unhinged: Republicans are going to win the House and Senate, says historian Larry Schweikart – Brighteon.TV
09/29/2022 // Kevin Hughes // Views

American historian Larry Schweikart is confident that the Republicans will win the House of Representatives and the Senate in the coming midterm elections. The co-author of the New York Times No. 1 bestseller, "A Patriot’s History of the United States," said the Martha's Vineyard fallout and other bad developments are affecting the polling numbers of the Democratic Party.

"And so, the translation from both is that the Republicans are going to win the House and probably win the Senate. And the reason I said this is there was an article in the Hill that was basically outlining what the Republicans are going to do when they win. In other words, they are telling you the Republicans are going to win," said Schweikart during the September 23 episode of "America Unhinged" on Brighteon.TV.

Schweikart was filling in for regular host Dr. John Diamond.

The founder of history educational website Wild World of History said he recently wrote an article for UncoverDC.com titled "Can You Smell the Fear?" that went through all the developments leading to the Hill article.

Citing polling sources such as America's best pollster Richard Baris and Robert Cahaly of the Trafalgar Group, Schweikart said Republicans are leading in Nevada. "This is big because Nevada is one of the states Republicans must have if they are going to flip the House," he noted. Another flip could happen in favor of the Republicans in Georgia, with senatorial candidate Herschel Walker gaining a tie in the polls.

Schweikart also noted that polling in Ohio has already stopped with J.D. Vance taking the lead in the senatorial race. This means Ohio is not going to be a Democrat flip. Ted Budd's senatorial seat in North Carolina appears to be safe as well for the Republicans. The same goes for Republican Senator Ron Johnson's seat in Wisconsin.

The states of Pennsylvania and Arizona will be up for grabs. Republicans Dr. Mehmet Oz and Blake Masters are currently trailing in the senatorial race in Pennsylvania and Arizona, respectively.

Fundamentals are working in favor of the Republicans

Schweikart pointed out that fundamentals, which are more important than polling, are working in favor of the Republicans – thanks to Joe Biden being despised by many. "The economy sucks and it is in terrible shape. Inflation is getting worse. So, voter registrations have all been trending in Republicans' favor," Schweikart stressed.

He mentioned that there is an amazing shift going on in Nevada where the formerly democratic part of the state is now turning into red. The Barris poll has former law enforcement officer and Republican candidate Joe Lombardo leading in the Nevada gubernatorial race.

The Wild World of History website founder also said that Kari Lake is taking a pretty solid lead in the race for Arizona governor. (Related: Freedom Force Battalion with Melissa Red Pill: Kari Lake wins nomination of the Republican primary for governor in Arizona – Brighteon.TV)

And even if Oz and Masters fail to rally from behind, the Republicans will still regain control of the Senate, which is currently split evenly between the two parties. While Oz needs to win to avoid a flip in favor of Democrats, Masters does not need to as the seat he is vying for is currently occupied by a Democrat.

"You're still going to have [Adam] Laxalt in Nevada winning. You're going to have Walker winning. So those are two flips to offset the one loss in Pennsylvania and then you got a hold in Ohio. And I think what will come out of this is Republicans plus one to plus two in the Senate for a 51-49 or 52-48 edge," Schweikart explained.
