Donuts for lunch: the new “healthy” eating plan being taught at Los Angeles public schools to de-stigmatize obesity
09/16/2022 // Ethan Huff // Views

A now-deleted "Food Neutrality" video that was shared across social media by the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and "liked" by its Human Relations, Diversity & Equity division encourages children to eat donuts and whatever they wish for lunch because all food is apparently the same.

Before getting deleted, the video was captured and tweeted – watch below – by the LA Parent Union, which blasted it for being full of lies and deception. (Related: LAUSD also complied with a Board of Education vote to force-vaccinate students within the district):

As you will notice, the all-black-female "Smarter in Seconds" feature from Blair Imani suggests that making smart food choices is "fatphobic" because larger people tend to eat junk food. So, to avoid hurting fat people's feelings, the video makes the claim that donuts, candy, and other sugary treats are the same thing as fresh fruit and vegetables or grass-fed meat.

"Diet culture, fatphobia, and systems of oppression have created false hierarchies of food, and it shows up everywhere," states a woman in the video dubbed the "Black Nutritionist."

"Remember that you do not need to 'earn' food."

An extremely large black woman with a nose piercing with the social media handle of @SavageXFatty is then seen stating that we are all "incorrectly taught from a young age that our size, and therefore the foods that we eat, are markers of our self-worth."

"Moralizing food can lead to harmful relationships with food and disordered eating. The only foods that are bad for you are foods that contain allergens (intolerances), poisons, and contaminants, or foods that are spoiled or is [sic] otherwise inedible."

The Black Nutritionist then returns to encourage viewers, including the tens of thousands of children who attend LAUSD public schools, to "eat without guilt" whatever they want, "regardless of what society says."

Promoter of junk food video works as "senior scientist" at Mondel?z, which makes Oreos

It turns out that the Black Nutritionist, aka Kéra Nyemb-Diop, is a "senior scientist" at Mondel?z International, a Chicago-based junk food company that boasts a portfolio of sugary food brands such as Oreos, Chips Ahoy, Honey Maid, and Sour Patch Kids.

In other words, Nyemb-Diop is a junk food prostitute who is spreading dangerous and inaccurate information about food to developing children who need real nutrition, not graham crackers and sandwich cookies.

@SavageXFatty is technically correct in her assessment that the only foods that are bad for people are those that are contaminated or contain poison – because sugar, hydrogenated oils, preservatives, and the many other chemicals used in Mondel?z junk food are, in fact, poisonous.

None of the black women featured in the video mention that, of course, because it would be bad for business. They would rather lie to children and tell them that donuts and cookies are the same things as a superfood smoothie.

On her LinkedIn page, Nyemb-Diop lists her duties at Mondel?z as including "identifying new health/nutrition innovation opportunities and driving the scientific evidence strategy to promote brands and support the business." This is clearly her goal in the new donut video, which did not last very long, thankfully.

"She fronts for Oreo," one commenter wrote. "Shame on her for not disclosing that."
