While the leftists believe it's a woman's right to choose, Daubenmire said nobody has the right to choose in cases of abortion because nobody has the right to to kill another person. The ruling in Roe v. Wade was the opinion of the Office of Legal Counsel (OLC). OLC court opinions are not laws, and it is impossible for the Supreme Court to make a law legalizing abortion. While some say that the Constitution did not really say anything about the unborn, the preamble of the constitution specifically states: "We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
In Daubenmire's interpretations, "posterity" refers to human beings yet to be born, which means that they are given the same rights as any born child. Thus, Daubenmire said, the idea that it is right for a woman to murder an unborn baby violates the very preamble of the Constitution. In a clip from Congress, a medical doctor explained what an abortion entails, and it is very disturbing. In the video, the doctor that Daubenmire didn't name shared that second-trimester abortions are performed roughly 14 to 24 weeks of gestation. The video showed a 17-year-old child who is 22 weeks pregnant.
This baby is only a couple of inches longer than the length of a hand. The patient was asleep while the process was being done. The doctor walked into the operating room already scrubbed in, and after removing the laminaria to gain access to the uterus, the doctor introduced a suction catheter.
While the doctor can use a 14-friend suction catheter, babies at 22 weeks will no longer fit through catheters of that size. After suctioning the amniotic fluid out from around the baby, the doctor then introduced a Sopher clamp, which is made of stainless steel. The head of the clamp is about two and a half inches long and half an inch wide, with rows of sharp teeth. This is not a simple grasping instrument: when it gets hold of something, it does not let go.
The procedure is a blind abortion, so the clamp will grab at anything blindly and pull. The clamp can pull out limbs and the doctor will have to reach out again and again to tear the baby apart.
Daubenmire said from the moment of conception, the little child inside the mother's womb has God-given rights and constitutional rights as inferred by the preamble of the Constitution.
When a leaked draft opinion showed the highest court voting to overturn Roe v. Wade, it shook American politics and revealed women are close to losing what they believed was their fundamental right. If the case is overturned, around 26 of 50 states are certain to ban abortion.
A Fredonia, Arizona citizen said he does not respect the leftist view of "my body, my choice" because they didn't apply this rule when it came to the Wuhan coronavirus vaccine. These women, on the other hand, are actually carrying life inside them. "They have a human body inside them. We speak for that human body; they're just speaking for themselves," the Arizona citizen said.
