Trump-supporting farmer’s equipment burned down in possible “politically-motivated arson”

The farming equipment of a Trump-supporting farmer in Nebraska burned down in a possible case of politically-motivated arson.

At 7:00 a.m. on Oct. 15, firefighters from the Sutton volunteer fire department responded to a cornfield fire in Clay County, Nebraska. There, responders found that farm equipment including a combine, two semis and a tractor belonging to farmer Jonathan Rempel had been set ablaze.

“I received a call this morning at 7 am while helping get the kids ready for school,” wrote Rempel on Facebook. “The call was from the Sutton volunteer fire department. They were calling to tell me that all of my harvest equipment at the field was on fire and they were putting it out.”

State Fire Marshal Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire, and whether or not it was politically motivated.

Trump flags may have caused arsonists to target farming equipment

According to Rempel, he flew two Trump flag on his combine that may have been the target of arsonists. That said, the farmer told local radio station KTIC that he did not wish to ascribe a political motivation to the fire at this time since the case is still under investigation.

Despite not wanting to blame the fire on politically-motivated arsonists, Rempel does point out certain factors that, at the very least, indicate that the fires were started on purpose.

The most telling of these was that all the affected farm equipment was parked away from each other.

“Apparently, sometime early this morning our combine and corn head, tractor, and two [semis] all caught fire at about the same time while being parked at a safe distance from each other,” Rempel stated in a Facebook post.

This fact is once again emphasized on the Rempel family’s GoFundMe page.

“What makes this so unusual is the early timing and the fact that all of his equipment was parked away from each other,” the page states.

The Rempel family’s GoFundMe is seeking to raise $50,000; however, an official loss estimate from the fire has yet to be determined.

Cases of left-wing violence against conservatives growing

Should the fire at Rempel’s farm be proven to be from politically-motivated arson, then it will join a growing list of attacks on conservatives and Trump supporters from left-wing radicals such as Black Lives Matter supports and Antifa.

On Oct. 17, Saturday, a free speech demonstration staged by conservative activists in downtown San Francisco fell apart after several hundred left-wing counter-protesters surged the area, attacking those gathered. (Related: Antifa, BLM now showing up ARMED to violent “protests.”)

A number of people were injured in the attack, including three officers from the San Francisco Police Department who sustained injuries after they were assaulted with pepper spray and caustic chemicals. Also injured was Philip Anderson, one of the organizers of the protest, who said that the anti-fascist counter-protesters attacked him for no reason.

Other protesters also said that they were attacked for no reason.

“They chased me, they kicked me for no reason,” said Marc Solorzano, who suffered a leg injury in the scuffle. “I’m from a Latin home. I married a Mexican woman. They kicked me for running — I was running from them!”

While the conservative protesters in the San Franciso rally got away with non-life-threatening injuries, others in other cities were not as lucky. On Aug. 29, Saturday, Aaron “Jay” Danielson was shot dead while he and a friend were heading to downtown Portland to join a group of flag-waving Trump supporters.

Danielson and his friend were wearing hats with the insignia of Patriot Prayer, a group that has clashed with left-wing protesters in Portland, and had been carrying paintball guns as a measure to help protect the group.

However, the latter was something that many have said should not have prompted any attack. Even President Donald Trump himself said as much during a White House press briefing.

“Paint is a defensive mechanism. Paint is not bullets,” Trump said.

Police eventually confronted and killed the suspect in Danielson’s shooting, named Michael Forest Reinoehl, during a shootout in Olympia, Washington.

These and other incidents similar to them underline the threat that the BLM movement, Antifa and their supporters pose to peace and order in America.
