Because someday, they’re going to come for you, too — just like they’re coming for anyone who does not adhere to their cherished Communist Manifesto-style of anarchy.
And yes, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, we're looking at you.
As reported by Big League Politics, Wheeler just turned down federal officers of assistance to help him bring his lawless city back under control after streets have been completely taken over by Antifa and other Marxist anarchist thugs.
What’s more, he demanded that all federal agents leave his city — which he has no authority to ask:
Wheeler recounted a conversation with [DHS Secretary Chad] Wolf, in which the DHS Secretary asked him how the federal authorities could help to alleviate the daily riots and street violence unleashed by ANTIFA-linked criminals upon the city. Wheeler then demanded that the Trump administration official remove the federal law enforcement presence from the city, leaving federal institutions such as the Hatfield Federal Courthouse at the mercy of the rioters.
“I told the Acting Secretary that my biggest immediate concern is the violence federal officers brought to our streets in recent days, and the life-threatening tactics his agents use. We do not need or want their help,” Wheeler tweeted.
“The best thing they can do is stay inside their building, or leave Portland altogether. Our goal is to end these violent demonstrations quickly and safely. And in the meantime, I asked him to clean up the graffiti on local federal facilities,” he continued.
Unreal. So, it’s the fault of federal agents, not Antifa hoodlums and Marxist Brown Shirt squads for the non-stop rioting and property destruction. Got it.
The fact is, even the most ‘woke’ Democrat mayor understands he or she must maintain some semblance of security and safety not only for residents but also for businesses which cannot survive, much less thrive, in a state of lawlessness. Without businesses, cities die.
Now, to accomplish this stability, it takes police officers and, when police are overwhelmed and undermanned, the National Guard.
So blaming federal law enforcement officials and attacking and defunding police departments even a little bit as a sop to the mob becomes a self-destructive act because ultimately, such half-measures won’t placate the Marxists.
They don’t want ‘a little reform’ or trimming around the edges; they want anarchy, and that means no cops and no troops, period. Oh, and no federal agents, either.
Anywhere that happens, cities will literally burn down. They will all resemble war-torn Allepo, Syria. No authority means no control, and anarchy is simply not a sustainable environment.

“ANTIFA rioters have taken to the city streets in violent ‘demonstrations’ for more than 40 nights since the death of George Floyd, attacking the city’s federal courthouse on a near nightly basis with weapons such as improvised firework mortars,” Big League Politics adds.
“The federal authorities have made arrests of ANTIFA terrorists enacting political violence, but the Portland police have been largely called off, and Multnomah County prosecutors have consistently dropped criminal charges against left-wing street rioters,” the site notes further.
So, we’re going to a place in Portland where Wheeler thinks he can control the lawless masses with some compromises here and there as well as a few minor tweaks to police policy.
He’s wrong. Because no matter how much these goofball libs give in to their respective mobs, those mobs are never satisfied.
And Wheeler is going to learn this the hard way in short order if he doesn’t grow a brain and a spine and bring some law and order back to Portland streets.
