Apple bans LifeSiteNews, just like it banned NaturalNews: All pro-life publishers are accused of “intolerance”
08/11/2019 // Ethan Huff // Views

Just days after it finally received long-awaited approval from Apple to join the Apple News aggregator service, LifeSiteNews was pulled from the platform for allegedly violating Apple News "guidelines" – only to be reinstated just days after that, thanks to the efforts of free speech advocates who signed the Life Petition calling on Apple to reverse course.

According to "The Apple News Team," LifeSiteNews was somehow guilty of publishing content that "shows intolerance towards a specific group," though this "specific group" was not specifically named or specified by "The Apple News Team," which initially left the LifeSiteNews team wondering how to proceed.

Just like what happened to NaturalNews earlier this year, LifeSiteNews presumably got the axe for publishing news from a conservative perspective, which is no longer allowed because leftists consider it to be "hateful" and "offensive."

Meanwhile, far-left media outlets like Buzzfeed and Jezebel, which openly publish anti-Christian content targeting this "specific group," remain fully intact and functional on the Apple News platform, once again demonstrating the hypocrisy of these techno-fascists in how they decide which content to ban for "violations," and which content to leave alone and even promote.

Apple News also doesn't seem to mind the many media outlets on its platform that publish anti-Trump, anti-American, and anti-white content, including The New York Times, which has an editorial board comprised of anti-white racists like Sarah Jeong.

Ironically, Apple News itself is guilty of "showing intolerance towards a specific group" by banning LifeSiteNews for no reason at all, while at the same time allowing leftist media outlets like the aforementioned to "show intolerance" towards conservatives and Trump supporters, with no consequences.

"We don't yet know the reason for Apple's decision to delete our channel," said LifeSiteNews Editor-in-Chief John-Henry Westen immediately following his site's removal from Apple News. "However, at a time when there is growing evidence that tech juggernauts are engaging in concerted censorship against even mainstream conservative viewpoints, Apple's decision – made unilaterally, and without opportunity to appeal – is frightening."

Westen went on to explain in a statement that LifeSiteNews never has, and never will, "promote intolerance or hatred against any group," adding that Apple News is actually the one promoting intolerance here by selectively banning news outlets that it doesn't agree with or support.

"[I]n our current divisive political climate, even mild expressions of common conservative viewpoints are often written off as de facto hatred and intolerance," Westen continued. "We certainly hope that this is not what Apple is doing. However, we urge our readers to contact Apple, and to respectfully demand that they reinstate LifeSite's channel."

LifeSiteNews petition to Apple News demanding that the tech giant stop censoring conservative and Christian content was a success!

Fortunately, LifeSiteNews was able to get Apple News to eventually reinstate its site after thousands of supporters signed the Life Petition calling on Apple to stop censoring free speech. In a follow-up statement issued on August 6, 2019, LifeSiteNews reported that after "a re-evaluation of our content, our channel will be re-enabled with immediate effect" on Apple News.

"This is (a) VICTORY for free speech, and, in particular, for conservative and Christian viewpoints," the site proudly announced.

"We applaud Apple for this sensible decision ... LifeSite wish[es] to thank you, our supporters, for having signed and shared this petition, and for praying for success on this issue. May God bless you!" the site further added.
