(Natural News) An analysis in the most recent weekly domestic intelligence publication Flashpoint Intelligence Review noted that political rancor is rising in America to levels not seen since the 1850s.
The publication noted that much of the anger is emanating from the Left over the issue of immigration, which it said was akin to the passion and violence that surrounded the issue of slavery and abolition in the decades leading up to the Civil War.
“What’s driving all of this hatred and division? Much of it comes from a visceral and unnatural hatred for President Trump. The Left despises him as much as the Right despised President Obama, whose policies were divisive as well. There are differences now, however. For one, the Left appears more animated in its disdain for Trump, and Leftists are much more eager to use violence against their political opponents,” the analysis noted.
“But there is another element driving this hate and division that does not get much recognition in the media or political commentariat,” it continued – division over POTUS Trump’s immigration and border enforcement policies.
The anger on the Left is rising to the point where violence is very likely going to be employed much more frequently sooner rather than later, FIR noted.
New evidence shows that assessment to be spot-on: Following a rally Trump held in Tampa, Fla., this past week on behalf of gubernatorial candidate and U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, reporters, celebrities, and other Leftists once again called the president and his supporters “Nazis” and “KKK” members – grossly inaccurate, of course. But they went a step further in calling for POTUS Trump’s supporters to be “euthanized.”
Murdered, in other words, simply for supporting a president who does not share the Leftist groupthink view of the world.
The Daily Caller reported:
Thousands of supporters packed the arena to hear Trump hammer his critics and tout his administration’s accomplishments. There was plenty of hecklers, comedy and chants about Hillary and 2020. Trump stopped to pick on one of his favorite targets, the media, approximately half-way through the speech. The president heckled the press in the press pen as “fake news” and the audience roared, chanting “Fake News” and “CNN Sucks” at the reporters.
Is civil conflict coming soon?
A favorite ‘target’ of the president and members in the audience was CNN’s chief political correspondent Jim Acosta, who sent out tweets of the crowd mocking him and his network. (Related: NYU professor: We’re on the verge of “completely losing our culture.”)
He said of the audience, “I’m very worried that the hostility whipped up by Trump and some in conservative media will result in somebody getting hurt” – even though the only ones who have been getting “whipped” into a frenzy and hurting people are Left-wing supporters of the Democratic Party and its propaganda media (which includes CNN).
Acosta not only made it out of the venue with his life, but he was never ‘accosted’ – sorry, couldn’t resist – or physically threatened in any way. Because if he had been, you can bet he would have sent that video out far and wide.
But he did send out this video which captured Trump supporters jeering at him and making various gestures – but no physical confrontations – which he called “sad.”
Just a sample of the sad scene we faced at the Trump rally in Tampa. I’m very worried that the hostility whipped up by Trump and some in conservative media will result in somebody getting hurt. We should not treat our fellow Americans this way. The press is not the enemy. pic.twitter.com/IhSRw5Ui3R

Thanks to the help of fellow Leftist journalists and ‘celebrities,’ the tweet went viral as they did what they always do – insult and demean anyone and everyone who supports POTUS Trump.
But composer Christopher O’Riley, a frequent on PBS and NPR, took the criticism further.
“Calling them Deplorables is euphemizing them. Maybe better to euthanize?” he tweeted.
Others – mostly celebrities – were equally vulgar. But the point is, as the FIR assessment points out, the political rancor is as high now as the last time it was when Americans went to war against each other.
