As YouTube and Google continue to punish gun makers and sellers, Brighteon.com offers pro-2A platform for firearms advocates, manufacturers and retailers

As the Left-wing social media giants continue to punish Americans who don’t conform to their Marxist worldview, there is a free-market solution stepping up to fill the void: Brighteon.com.

Brighteon.com is a gun-friendly video community that's about to launch as an alternative to YouTube. Video content creators can use the site for free, and videos can be embedded in web pages on their own sites. "As YouTube continues silencing gun channels through censorship, we are creating a firearms friendly alternative video community that isn't afraid to stand up for the First and Second Amendments," said Mike Adams, founder of Brighteon.com and publisher of SecondAmendment.news.

In recent days, Google made the decision to further alienate a plurality of Americans — gun owners and the gun industry — by banning words like “gun-grips” and “scopes and sights” from its list of ‘acceptable’ AdWords. The ban will take effect later this month, as Breitbart News' AWR Hawkins reports.

In addition, the search behemoth will be banning all AdWords that are related to “3D printing of guns or gun parts,” which will include “instructions” on 3D printing of any and all parts for firearms.

Google made the decision as part of changes to the company’s “Dangerous Products or Services Policy.”

Hawkins noted that also on the list of banned AdWords are stocks, conversion kits, and tripods and bipods.

In groupthink fashion, the change to Google’s policy comes just a few months after Google-owned YouTube said it would be banning all gun demonstration videos, which in turn followed Facebook’s incremental banning of gun ads and sales (and ‘political’ content that, oddly, seems to include mostly conservative content).

“The Google war on guns is a direct attack on gun ownership. Maybe it is time to regulate the internet giants like Google, Facebook, and YouTube and not gun ownership,” said Second Amendment Foundation Executive Director Alan Gottlieb in a statement to Breitbart News.

The decision amounts to another step towards backdoor gun control, he added. (Related: Google, Facebook, YouTube censorship of conservative sites, voices just like Communist CHINA.)

Of course, that’s true, but the move is also part of a broader effort by the Left to punish Americans who refuse to toe the Marxist-Progressive line.

There is a free-market alternative

Regarding the YouTube ban, Hawkins reported in March that the ban on firearms instruction videos also included the intent to “prohibit videos with instructions on how to assemble firearms.”

He noted further that no guns assembled at private residences were involved in any of the mass shootings around the country which Google, Facebook, and YouTube are all using to justify their bans.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) noted that the move was “worrisome” because what’s coming next, most likely, is a similar ban even on “educational content.”

“We suspect it will be interpreted to block much more content than the stated goal of firearms and certain accessory sales. We see the real potential for the blocking of educational content that serves instructional, skill-building and even safety purposes,” the organization said, as Hawkins reported.

“Much like Facebook, YouTube now acts as a virtual public square. The exercise of what amounts to censorship, then, can legitimately be viewed as the stifling of commercial free speech.”

So far, federal courts have not agreed with that assessment. A recent challenge to YouTube’s censorship by PragerU was dismissed by a federal judge — Lucy Koh — because the company was a private business, not a government entity, so somehow the Constitution’s free speech protections don’t apply.

Regulating Left-wing social media companies isn’t the right approach either, because that means all social media ties would be subject to the same government regulations (which would no doubt wind up being onerous and costly).

No, a better option is to simply start using a video-and-social-media platform that fully supports the Second Amendment and doesn’t censor gun-related materials that pertain to legal actions (like instructions on how to assemble or clean a firearm).

A platform like Brighteon.com, which is set to launch July 4th.

Already flooded with content requests, Brighteon.com will be a valuable resource for gun enthusiasts and a great environment for makers of firearms and gun parts (like gun grips, stocks, and all the AdWords banned by Google).
