Witch hunt launched against California doctor who provided vaccine exemptions

Vaccine exemptions

(NaturalNews) A Southern California pediatrician recently made national headlines after signing off on a vaccine exemption for a 2-year-old patient of his who developed a severe reaction to childhood vaccines. The exemption will protect the boy from ever having to receive "mandatory" vaccinations in the future, a move that's provoked the wrath of California's Medical Board.

Dr. Bob Sears has long been an outspoken critic of mandatory vaccination laws, as he's witnessed many a child suffer adverse effects from childhood vaccines. Dr. Sears is among the more cooperative element of mainstream medicine that, rather than try to coerce his patients into maintaining the status quo, actually respects the right of parents to choose whether or not to vaccinate their own children; he isn't afraid of letting his patients "opt out" of the vaccine program, in other words.

But the State of California, having recently passed Senator Richard Pan's Senate Bill 277 to disallow vaccine exemptions save for patients with certain qualified medical conditions, isn't too happy with Dr. Sears' health freedom approach. According to The Orange County Register, the state's Medical Board is accusing Dr. Sears of "gross negligence" for essentially failing to maintain a 100 percent vaccination rate among his patients, even when those patients have a high risk of complications.

The Board claims that Dr. Sears' decision to allow his 2-year-old patient to forego future vaccinations for safety reasons somehow puts the child's "future contacts at risk for preventable and communicable diseases." Furthermore, the Board is considering disciplinary action against Dr. Sears, which may include revocation of his medical license.

Dr. Sears isn't even necessarily against vaccines, but rather the coercive tactics used by the government to force them on people. Everyone should have the right to choose, he wrote in a 2015 opinion piece published in the O.C. Register, noting that vaccines "cannot be forced; a parent must give consent."

Vaccines destroy child's bowels, bladder; California couldn't care less

The child in question wasn't mildly injured by vaccines, either. His entire bowel and bladder system reportedly shut down for 24 hours after getting his shots at 2 months. The shots he received at 3 months made matters worse by leaving him "limp for a day," and the O.C. Register says he "didn't act like himself for a week."

This is no laughing matter, and any reasonable doctor would agree that such complications aren't acceptable when a child's life is being put at risk. Not only does science' target='_blank'>http://science.naturalnews.com/vaccine_injur... support this notion, but the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warns that life-threatening reactions are more than enough reason to forego vaccinations.

Again, Dr. Sears isn't even anti-vaccine. Reports indicate that he routinely administers vaccinations at his practice, though he pays close attention to how his patients respond before administering more of them. In other words, Dr. Sears is a conscientious doctor who actually observes how his patients respond to modern medicine when making decisions about which ones to administer – and for this, he is under attack by the vaccine hawks for committing the unforgivable sin of opting some children out of vaccinations.
