CPS kidnaps teen after heart attack, misdiagnoses mother with Munchausen by proxy

(NaturalNews) If ever there was a story that'll leave you scratching your head and wondering what's wrong with this world, it's the case of Anne Giroux and her teenage son, Kevin.

The story begins in 2009 with Kevin having chest pains along with shortness of breath. Despite numerous visits to the ER, doctors never referred him to a cardiologist. Instead, they diagnosed him with asthma, treating him through the years as though he had no heart problems.

What happens next is filled with medical wrongdoings, falsification of records and heart-wrenching agony that no mother and son should ever endure.

Doctors dismiss chest pains for years, boy later has heart attack

Interestingly, in 2011, when Kevin sought a sports physical for school, doctors denied it, citing his past issues with reported chest pains. Even more perplexing is the fact that only then was he finally told to see a cardiologist, but oddly, after completion of his electrocardiogram, no recommendations or diagnosis was provided and his mother was denied access to his medical records. Once again, Kevin and his mother was told he had asthma.

Flash forward to 2012. This is when Kevin suffered a heart attack, a result of a rare congenital heart condition that was -- no surprise here -- never detected. Called AAOCA: Anomalous Aortic Origin of a Coronary Artery, Kevin underwent corrective open heart surgery to improve his health.

That same year, he suffered his first pleural effusion. His health spiraled out of control, leading to yet another cardiac procedure, and of taking medications that led to his weight gain and an inability to sleep. Shockingly, his symptoms were dismissed as his lack of physical activity, not linked to the morphine he was being given. Yet, despite the urging to get more exercise, doctors would not authorize him to have a cardiac stress test or engage in PE classes in school.

The story becomes more bizarre.

Mother reported to CPS, said to be faking son's bad health

Anne was reported to Child Protective Services (CPS) with the allegation of "Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy," a term that means a person is so desperate to seek medical attention that they fake or intentionally worsen existing symptoms. That's right: A concerned mother repeatedly defeated by a system bent on refusing to properly diagnose her son in the first place was reported to CPS by one of the doctors she'd previously seen in the past.

"If a doctor performs an operation and prescribes drugs for my child based upon ME having Munchausen by proxy, what PSYCHIATRIC MALADY afflicts THE DOCTOR?" Anne rightfully asked, suggesting that perhaps their reporting her to CPS was done in order to focus attention away from their mishandling of her son's multiple ER visits, attempting to make her stand out as the bad person in this circus of events.

The case involving CPS was eventually dismissed and Kevin was allowed to return home. Still, Anne lives with the stigma of being a child abuser while Kevin, now 18, says, "I feel relief since CPS can't bother me, but my new fear since I'm adult is that they can charge me and falsely accuse me of things."

Currently, there's an "Anne Giroux's Recovery Fund" on GoFundMe in which donations can be made to help her family rebuild their lives. On the site, it says, "Anne Giroux's intention is first to seek justice and to regain her family's freedom, to empower the countless innocent families that have fallen prey to blatant violations of our human rights at the hands of a corrupt system, and to speak out for them, stand up for the their rights and demand worldwide justice."

How much more mental and health corruption will we take?

This is not the first time people have been dismissed by medical experts or faced with less-than-desirable CPS actions.

Today's world of "must have" vaccinations is perhaps the most prime example of how human health is being severely disregarded. How many more stories must we hear of those who died shortly after receiving a "necessary" vaccination? Does it stop when a young, healthy girl becomes confined to a wheelchair after becoming vaccinated, as it did to Florida resident Marysue Grivna?

When it comes to CPS, there have been reports that point to a horribly unbalanced, uncaring system. For example, the Austin American-Statesman reported that Texas CPS mishandled and underreported hundreds of cases, many of which led to the death of children.

All of this begs the question: Who are we to trust anymore in a world where right is wrong and wrong is right?
