(NaturalNews) Why do other countries get safer versions of McDonald's food, while Americans are fed unnecessary and potentially dangerous additives? Does McDonald's have it out against Americans? Is there a conspiracy to destroy the health of Americans, using food ingredients as silent weapons? Are Americans being used as lab rats in a worldwide McDonald's experiment?

According to new investigations by Vani Hari at FoodBabe.com, it's true that McDonald's feeds to Americans a much different food selection from what other countries get to enjoy. In fact, in the United Kingdom, McDonald's serves organic milk with their oatmeal, coffee and tea. Happy Meals in the UK also come with organic milk for children to enjoy. On top of that, UK McDonald's offer preservative-free pineapple and carrot sticks as sides instead of the default selection of French fries that Americans have grown so accustomed to.

McDonald's feeds Americans anti-foaming agents and butane derivatives

To add fuel to the fire, McDonald's fries served up in the United Kingdom are not cooked in oil tainted with TBHQ -- a controversial ingredient derived from butane. The cooking oil is also free of the anti-foaming agent dimethylpolysiloxane. If this cleaner cooking oil works in the UK, then why does McDonald's dish out the potentially dangerous version to Americans?

Even if all these extra additives aren't an intentional conspiracy against American's health, then why are Americans putting up with this anyway? Why wouldn't Americans want cleaner fast food? Why do other countries get the healthier standards, while America gets the unnecessary additives?

McDonald's not the only franchise feeding America sub-par ingredients

According to food researcher Vani Hari, Americans "are getting the short end of the stick."

And McDonald's isn't the only franchise dumping the excess fat over to America. A piece of pepperoni lovers pizza from Pizza Hut has 151 percent more sugar in the US than it does in the UK. There's 56 percent more sugar in a Subway turkey and ham sandwich made in America. In the UK, Starbucks doesn't use carcinogenic caramel coloring in their Pumpkin Spice Lattes. America's equivalent contains caramel coloring and over 50 percent more sugar to boot.

A French fry in the United Kingdom is made with potatoes, vegetable oil of sunflower and rapeseed, and dextrose.

The American equivalent of the McDonald's French fry is made with a little more wacky flavor science, including vegetable oil of canola and hydrogenated soybeans. There's also "natural beef flavor" added from wheat and milk derivatives, a citric acid preservative thrown in, and there's also sodium acid pyrophosphate so that the fries can maintain their color. Then there's the additional TBHQ for extra freshness and dimethylpolysiloxane to prevent foaming.

What are your thoughts on America getting the short end of the stick when it comes to food choices and healthy standards? What are the long-term consequences for Americans, and are these consequences already showing up in American society today?
