Louisiana state medical boards continue widespread pattern of abuse against CAM practitioners

(NaturalNews) The Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME), which was originally established to protect the people of Louisiana, is currently engaged in a war against them as it attempts to run all complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) practitioners out of state, or out of business. The Alliance for Natural Health - USA (ANH-USA) reports that the group, which governs the licensing of doctors, is specifically targeting CAM practitioners with coercive harassment and fines in an attempt to extinguish all forms of medicine that deviate from the conventional status quo.

Similar to the way the Texas Medical Board continues to abuse its authority in trying to destroy the career of Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, the innovative cancer doctor who developed revolutionary antineoplastons, LSBME is inappropriately spending taxpayer dollars trying to destroy the practices of Louisiana CAM practitioners. Whether it is targeting them for minor paperwork violations, or forcing them to sign illegitimate consent forms that claim CAM techniques are invalid, the LSBME is on a crusade to exhaust and bankrupt as many CAM practitioners as possible.

How does the LSBME get away with this malicious affront to health freedom? The Louisiana statute for CAM practitioners contains dubious language that ties the hands of CAM practitioners who actually practice CAM medicine. So while the provisions allow for CAM practitioners to exist and practice, it also says they must "comply with the standard of care applicable to conventional medicine practitioners."

Such language was probably not originally intended to completely restrict CAM practitioners from employing CAM techniques in their practices. But this is how LSBME interprets it, which is why it continues to illegally pursue the elimination of CAM altogether, despite the fact that thousands of Louisiana residents and even residents from nearby states rely on these doctors for treatment.

To make matters worse, LSMBE is attempting to pull the wool over the eyes of the public as to its criminal activity, having established a phony Integrative and Complementary Medicine Committee that has never once met to actually discuss the issues and make recommendations. According to ANH-USA, this supposed committee does not even receive any funding from LSMBE.

In no simple terms, the situation is a mess, and will only continue to get worse if the public does not speak up and put an end to this medical tyranny. LSMBE is required to give CAM practitioners an equal footing under the law, which it is deliberately failing to do. So ANH-USA is asking all Louisiana residents to contact LSMBE and tell them to stop putting their own biases over the rule of law:
