(NaturalNews) A New Jersey mother has stated that she aims to become the fattest woman in the world, setting herself a goal to gain another 400 pounds in the next two years.

"I'd love to be 1,000 pounds," said Donna Simpson, 42. "It might be hard though, running after my daughter keeps my weight down."

According to Wikipedia, the heaviest woman in the world actually weighed close to 1,200 pounds.

Simpson already holds the Guinness World Record as the world's heaviest mother. She weighed 520 pounds when she gave birth to her daughter, and has gained another 82 pounds since then. Due to her massive girth, Simpson needs a mobility scooter to do her grocery shopping.

In order to achieve her goal, Simpson moves as little as possible and eats approximately 12,000 calories a day, or six times the recommended intake for a woman. She covers her $815-a-week grocery bills in part by running a web site where men pay to watch her eat fast food.

Simpson's claim has garnered quite a bit of media attention, leading celebrity doctor Sanford Siegal to write her a letter offering to pay her up $50,000 of his own money to lose weight -- $10,000 for a commitment to stop gaining weight plus another $100 per pound lost. His son Matthew soon promised another $50,000.

In his letter, Siegal warned Simpson that she faces severe health problems, such as diabetes, if she continues on her path.

"You are not likely to reach your goal," he wrote. "Your early success will eventually work against you. As your diabetes becomes more severe and you become less mobile (probably bedridden), there's a good chance that one or both of your legs will be amputated. This will reduce your weight significantly."

But Simpson insists that she is healthy and normal.

"I love eating and people love watching me eat," she said. "It makes people happy, and I'm not harming anyone."
