(NewsTarget) Nutritional supplement company GoodCause Wellness recently announced the launch of its new 100 percent organic granola with chia seeds, goji berries and blueberries, sweetened only with all-natural agave nectar.

The granola is produced in small, hand-made batches, and contains organic chia seeds, almonds and pumpkin seeds, as well as organic goji berries and blueberries. The mix is then sweetened with organic agave nectar, which results in a product completely free of refined sugars.

"It's the only organic granola sweetened with agave nectar and offering the benefits of chia seeds," said Alan Friedman, manager of GoodCause Wellness. "Chia seeds are rich with omega fatty acids and offer so many great nutrients. When combined with all the organic ingredients, our granola has superior benefits and tastes better than any granola you'll ever eat."

According to Friedman, the use of agave nectar -- a low-glycemic sweetener that won't spike blood sugar levels -- makes GoodCause Wellness' Organic Granola ideal for diabetics or those watching their blood sugar.

"The granola is low in sugar and the chia seed naturally slows the absorption of sugar into the blood stream," Friedman said. "When we've sampled this product, the first reaction is that it must contain a lot of sugar because it tastes so good. When the low sugar level was revealed, and that it was only sweetened with agave nectar, our tasters were stunned."

The goji berries in Friedman's product provide consumers with a good source of protein, and blueberries are one of nature's most powerful sources of antioxidants. In addition, both pumpkin seeds and almonds are rich sources of healthy essential oils, which can benefit brain and heart health.

"The benefits of the ingredients in the granola are outstanding," Friedman said. "Every single ingredient in this product has an incredible nutritional profile. There are no fillers or cheap ingredients, and no added sugar to detract from the healthy ingredients."

GoodCause Wellness' 100 percent organic Goji and Blueberry Granola Mix with Chia seeds is available online at GoodCauseWellness.com, or by calling (520) 870-2484. The granola is sold in fresh-packed, one-pound bags for $11.49.
