EVIL: Professor promotes idea of mass movement in favor of child prostitution
11/03/2023 // Kevin Hughes // Views

Johns Hopkins University (JHU) professor has apparently advised a sex worker-activist to create a "mass movement" promoting the idea of children in the sex industry. This was based on the audio recorded by an undercover journalist during the Socialism 2023 conference.

Karlyn Borysenko, a psychologist and an independent reporter, attended the conference held in Chicago from Sept. 1 to Sept. 4. Socialists and activists from all over the country gathered in the conference for talks on topics such as Marxism and strategies for left-wing causes.

One of the panels titled "The Politics of Childhood" featured Jules Gill-Peterson, a male associate professor at JHU who identifies as female. Another speaker on the panel was Sophie Lewis, the author of the book "Full Surrogacy Now: Feminism Against Family."

Panel talks about abolishing the age of consent

Borysenko said the panel talked about abolishing the age of consent before she started recording. The reporter also mentioned that most of the audience seemed to be accepting the idea of children having a "right" to solicit sex.

"Socialists do not believe that children are the 'private property' of their parents. They believe children are little adults that can make all their own decisions," Borysenko told Campus Reform.

During the panel's question and answer segment, an attendee named Chanel introduced herself as a sex worker-activist. She asked whether young people in the sex industry should be deemed part of a "children's liberation vision."

"Young people in the sex industry deserve and need rights at minimum actual liberation and justice," Chanel said. "There's just like a utopia I had never really thought of before because the world feels so separated, and the issue of youth and sex work is so incredibly loaded."

Chanel added that her activism involves "working at the intersection of migrants, justice, capitalism and sex work" and that she would like to see a "liberation" movement for children that comprises "highly marginalized kids on the street'" and "people selling sex to survive."

Instead of responding to the question, Gill-Peterson asked what other strategies should be explored to truly gain a "sense of solidarity."

"If you're part of a project trying to think about the young people's role in the sex industry, one of the ways that you might feel like you're going to be able to lend time and energy to that effort is if it doesn't feel like you could be hung up to dry alone for it, right? So, a mass movement has a kind of persuasive value," Gill-Peterson said.

Online news publications the Christian Post tried to reach Gill-Peterson for a statement through his work email, but only received an automatic reply saying that the professor is on leave for the semester.

This comes amid nationwide debates about whether American states should prohibit surgeries and the prescription of hormones for minors confused with their gender. (Related: Marketing genital-mutilating SEX-CHANGE SURGERY directly to minors is even more EVIL and TWISTED than advertising cigarettes, alcohol or prostitution.)

Borysenko earlier covered another speech Gill-Peterson delivered at Lewis & Clark College as part of a gender studies symposium titled "Transition and Abortion as Vernacular Medicine."

During his speech, the professor encouraged the use of do-it-yourself hormones, although he recognized that the practice can be "dangerous."

According to a report from Harbinger's Daily, Gill-Peterson urging an activist to help remove the stigma around supporting child "sex work" by starting a "mass movement" to turn the tide of "moral panic" over the idea is nothing more than an "attempt to normalize child abuse in the name of adult sexual desire. It's disgusting, it's vile, and it's hard to even begin to grasp the consequences of such depravity."
