How Neil deGrasse Tyson destroys the credibility of all science by shilling for the chemical pesticide industry
07/24/2017 // Ethan Huff // Views

To some, he's one of the coolest and most progressive voices in science today. To others, he's a chemical and biotech industry shill of the highest order, and someone whose conscience is apparently silent as he continually makes up lies to push his evil agenda. This mystery person is none other than Neil deGrasse Tyson, one of the leading purveyors of fake science in the modern age.

Tyson is a member in good standing of the "Monsanto Mafia" – a corporate prostitute who's proven that he will say or do anything for fame and feelings of superiority. This pseudoscientific fool has, on more than one occasion, made up quotes and headlines to make himself feel and appear smart. He also believes that GMOs are no different than selectively-bred produce – or at least that's what he wants his naive followers to believe.

This Harvard graduate is an archetypal father of lies, though he's rarely called out for it by mainstream news sources. In fact, the corporate media seems to love Neil deGrasse Tyson. Recently, he even got his own movie deal along with violent wife beater, biotech shill, and former Forbes writer Jon Entine.

Tyson is featured in the new film, entitled Food Evolution, which is little more than a pro-GMO marketing piece for Monsanto. But since it's being dressed up as an "educational documentary," many people are likely to fall for its message that fake food created in a lab with deadly chemicals is a gift to humanity.

Fake science gurus like Neil deGrasse Tyson are perpetuating scientific ignorance

Leaked emails show that Food Evolution was hatched by all the usual biotech hacks: People like Jon Entine, University of California, Davis (UCD) professor and former Monsanto employee Alison van Eenennaam, Pamela Ronald, and many others. Also behind the film is the American Council on Science and Health (ACSH), a sham organization run by a convicted criminal felon who tows the pro-GMO line just like all of these others.

The point of Food Evolution is to brainwash the public into accepting every new transgenic crop that the biotech industry releases as "food." There's been so much actual science detracting from this message these days, after all, that something needed to be done to preserve the stock value of Monsanto and keep its shareholders happy.

This ridiculous film is sure to fool many people. But what's worse is that it tarnishes the name of real science by serving up the fake stuff in its place. By name-dropping left and right and including many popular names and organizations, Food Evolution creates the appearance of being legitimate while offering viewers every illegitimate, fake science lie that it possibly can in under two hours.

"That the film's intended purpose was to serve as an industry-messaging vehicle is no secret," says Mike Adams, the Health Ranger.

The pinnacle of the film's deception is the way that it handles GMOs and the crop herbicide Roundup, whose main ingredient is toxic glyphosate. It claims that glyphosate is perfectly safe – safer, in fact, than coffee and salt! This is absolute lunacy, of course, but it's exactly why the film's producers brought in a loudmouth like Neil deGrasse Tyson to be one of its mascots. Tyson supports the notion that GMOs and Roundup are completely safe, so he was an obvious first pick to be included in the film.

"Equal treatment of interview subjects with different points of view would have helped the credibility of Food Evolution," adds Adams. "Instead, the film paints the GMO critics it features as dishonest or out to make a buck off the organic industry, while leaving out key details about its pro-industry sources."
