(NaturalNews) General Mills Inc. has come forth publicly, apologizing for a crucial weeks-long mistake that went down at one of their plants in Lodi, California. Over the course of several days in July, workers at the plant loaded wheat flour into the gluten-free loading system. Workers were supposed to fill the boxes with gluten-free oat flour but instead used wheat flour to make Honey Nut Cheerios. The mistake went on for 13 consecutive manufacturing days as countless "gluten-free" Honey Nut Cheerios boxes were filled with wheat that likely contains both gluten and glyphosate.

Now, General Mills is voluntarily recalling the products that were filled with wheat flour to be consistent with their gluten-free label. Many consumers now avoid gluten, because their bodies cannot properly digest the protein. More people are being diagnosed with celiac disease today and are instructed to avoid wheat altogether because of their allergic reactions to it.

Some are beginning to question whether the use of the carcinogenic herbicide glyphosate has something to do with the growing intolerance to wheat gluten. Since glyphosate destroys good gut bacteria like antibiotics do, it may limit the body's ability to properly digest proteins. (Human gut bacteria aid in the digestion and detoxification processes in the body.)

The real recall should be on glyphosate

As General Mills recalls cereals inadvertently contaminated with wheat, what they should be scrambling to do is recall their wheat altogether if it's sprayed with the herbicide glyphosate. If companies like General Mills really want to appeal to the health of consumers and change the future of the world and the environment, then they should refuse to make any products that come from crops sprayed with glyphosate.

The truth about glyphosate was hidden for so long and those who questioned its safety were long thought of as "conspiracy theorists." Now the dangers of glyphosate are going mainstream. A team of international scientists from the World Health Organization concluded early in 2015 that glyphosate "probably" causes cancer in humans. Their admission has awoken many to correlate their glyphosate exposure to their developing cancer.

People with cancer are beginning to sue Monsanto because of glyphosate exposure on the job

A former field worker who used Monsanto's glyphosate in the '90s on cucumber, onion and other vegetable crops has filed suit against Monsanto. The California lawsuit, Enrique Rubio v. Monsanto Company, claims that Enrique's bone cancer, diagnosed in 1995, was due to direct daily exposure to Monsanto's dangerous Roundup.

On the same day, another lawsuit was filed against Monsanto in New York. In Fitzgerald v. Monsanto Company, 64-year-old Judi Fitzgerald claims her leukemia diagnosis in 2012 was a result from constant exposure to Roundup at a horticultural products company in the '90s. Fitzgerald's case accused Monsanto of falsifying safety data:

Monsanto assured the public that Roundup was harmless. In order to prove this, Monsanto championed falsified data and attacked legitimate studies that revealed its dangers. Monsanto led a prolonged campaign of misinformation to convince government agencies, farmers and the general population that Roundup was safe.

These claims against Monsanto are being backed up by a set of FOIA documents obtained by an independent research scientist who is exposing a 40-year cover up on glyphosate's carcinogenic nature.

Glyphosate approved fraudulently by Monsanto deception tactics

Independent research scientist Anthony Samsel obtained 15,000 pages of documents from Monsanto via FOIA request. After studying the papers, it's evident that Monsanto withheld information from the public about glyphosate's link to organ damage and cancer. Monsanto covered up much of glyphosate's toxicity by using the the mask, "proprietary trade secrets."

The most damning evidence hidden in the documents show that Monsanto scientists used control animals that were already sick with cancer and organ failures. The results of the studies concluded that glyphosate was not dangerous because the animals that were exposed to glyphosate did not appear any more afflicted than the control animals.

Since all the animals ended up sick, regulators were led to believe that glyphosate was no more carcinogenic than any other chemical. The entire world was fooled, until now.

Now consumers wait for the day when companies like General Mills take a stand against this dangerous herbicide and the fraudulent methods used to approve its safety. Consumers are avoiding gluten, but the real focus should be on glyphosate poisoning of humanity.
