(NaturalNews) So, you've decided that times are most definitely changing, and not for the better. You believe that our country, and indeed the entire world, appears to be headed for collapse or, at best, a massive course correction. You're anxious, because you know that you and your family are simply not prepared for what you believe may be coming, or maybe you just don't think that you're prepared as well as you should be.

Well, that's okay, because you're not alone. The difference is that you're preparing to read some information about some of the best "prepper" websites on the Internet -- sites that will answer many of your prepper-related questions and help put you and your loved ones in a much better position to survive any "stuff hits the fan" scenario. Read on!

-- Prepper Recon: This site combines prepper-related goods and services with news and analysis of the world around us. It includes a lot of information about world events, because those tend to have an effect on the U.S., even if we'd prefer to mind our own business. In addition, the site's developer, Mark Goodwin, does a weekly radio program that can be downloaded or listened to on the site.

-- Organic Prepper: Here, visitors can access books and other information that discuss many aspects of prepping and survival. In addition, visitors can access very informative articles, such as this one, which discusses surviving a two-week power outage. Daisy Luther is the site's developer; she says she focuses on "healthy prepping, homesteading adventures, and the pursuit of liberty and food freedom."

-- Survival Blog: Developed by James Wesley, Rawles, this site is a trove of information on everything from food to "bug-out bags" to ammunition and weapons to advice on where to retreat if you need to leave your home. JWR's "List of Lists" is a downloadable, frequently updated spreadsheet that contains must-have items for your use and for bartering.

-- Survival Life: This site, edited by "Above Average Joe," contains a wealth of easy-to-read articles on just about everything that you could imagine wanting to know or needing to know to prep for bad times. In addition, the site features several prepper and survival experts -- guys and gals with real-world experience -- to give the site legitimacy and authority in the field. Recent articles include a piece on solar ovens, night vision, survival cooking and solar water heating.

-- SHTF Plan: Designed purely for the survivalist instinct in all of us, this site discusses a number of unlikely scenarios -- such as Ebola coming to America and the collapse of the U.S. economy -- that may be uncomfortable to many people. No one wants to think about things like a pandemic reaching our shores, or the destruction of our economy, but as a country, these things are always a possibility, even in America. In addition, SHTF Plan offers a number of great products and information -- some of it free -- for those just getting starting in prepping.

-- Apartment Prepper: Hey, not everyone lives in rural America, and not all of us can "retreat" to a remote location when things go bad. Some of us are quite urban, as this site's creator, Bernie Carr, understands -- but those who are will still need to prepare nonetheless. This site discusses prepping from the urbanite's perspective -- how to get started, how to save yourself money, how to stockpile with a limited amount of space, and so on.

-- ModernSurvivalOnline: Again, this site, by John Rourke, looks at prepping from the perspective of dealing with the world as it is, not as we'd like it to be. Rourke offers quite a bit of information on his site, including articles about food/water, fitness (not often discussed on prepper sites) and why you ought to be prepping in the first place. "The world is an everchanging place and threats exist at all levels. It is my belief that preparing for possible emergencies and disasters is the best way to combat that threat and keep your families safe," he wrote.

There are dozens more sites, of course, and you should look at all of them. You can start with this list, here.
